ADMISSION REGULATIONS 2022-2023

Shahida Islam Medical College & Shahida Islam Dental College Lodhran
All admissions to the MBBS and BDS programs will be carried out as per the following criteria and all the prevailing rules
and regulations of the regulator in this regard will be considered as part of this criteria.
APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY:
• Students of any age and sex from all provinces of Pakistan, Islamabad, FATA, and foreign/dual national/overseas can apply
for admission.
• FOR THE LOCAL SEAT:
o The candidate who is a Pakistani national or defined as an Overseas Pakistani under applicable law and may hold
dual nationality and may be resident or non-resident in Pakistan.
o The candidate must have passed MDCAT Examination for the year 2022 as per PMC regulations.
o The candidate/ applicant must have obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate qualification (HSSC) or an
equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and obtained a minimum of sixty percent (60%) marks
therein, or a higher percentage as may be notified by the Medical and Dental Council OR
o The candidate/ applicant must have passed the subjects of biology and chemistry and either physics or
mathematics in the examination of the Higher Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent 12 th grade
qualification recognized in Pakistan.
• FOR FOREIGN SEAT:
o The candidate who is not a Pakistani Student and holds only a foreign nationality.
o The candidate must have passed MDCAT Examination for the year 2022 as per PMC regulations.
o The candidate/ applicant must have obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate qualification (HSSC) or an
equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and obtained a minimum of sixty percent (60%) marks
therein, or a higher percentage as may be notified by the Medical and Dental Council OR
o The candidate/ applicant must have passed the subjects of biology and chemistry and either physics or
mathematics in the examination of the Higher Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent 12 th grade
qualification recognized in Pakistan.

SCHEDULING OF ADMISSION PROCESS:


1. The online acceptance of MBBS/ BDS registration applications will be available at www.simc.edu.pk from 1st July 2022.
2. A student may apply for admission irrespective of them having taken the MDCAT or HSSC or equivalent 12 th grade
qualification exam (pending result) subject to the requisite results being available at least one week before the date of
display of final merit list of college.

3. The last date for online admission form deposition for MBBS is 15th December 2022 and BDS is
15th January 2023.
4. The students must choose the program in which they want to apply. A student having not applied to a given program shall
not be entitled to admission to such program.
5. Rs. 1000/- per programme will be charged for processing of application. The student must deposit the fee in Bank Alfalah
IBAN Account No.PK36ALFH0085001005329999 (account title Shahida Islam Medical Complex Pvt Ltd) and send the
original deposit receipt to the college mentioning NAME AND CNIC OF THE APPLICANT via TCS to Shahida Islam Medical
Complex 100-M Multan Road Lodhran.
6. The final merit list of selected students on local and foreign seats, will be notified after 3 days of closing date of application.
7. The final merit list shall represent an offer by the college to the students based on their merit against the allocated seat
of each college.
8. The students selected will have three (3) working days to submit their fee which shall represent acceptance of offer by
student.
9. Any student not accepting the offer shall enable the next student in the merit list to avail of the offer.
10. If a student after having obtained admission seeks to leave the program within 15 days of admission will be eligible for
full fee refund after deduction of one-time admission fee. The students leaving the program after 15 days of admission
shall have the deduction of admission fee plus the tuition fee pro rata to the period spent by the student in the program
along with a penalty of ten percent of the total annual fee.
11. A student who defaults in payment of tuition fee shall be liable to be expelled subject to a reasonable period (15 days)
being granted to the student to remedy the defaulted fee. The information of the expelled student on account of default
in payment of tuition fee shall be notified to the Authority within one week and the student registration with the Authority
shall be cancelled permanently.
12. The admitted students Matric and Intermediate (or equivalent) certificates or credentials will be sent to respective boards
for verification and after receiving the verification the FINAL LIST of admitted students along with verifications will be
forwarded to UHS and PMC for registration of the students with both authorities.
13. Any students whose certificates/credentials are not duly verified or are found to be false or forged shall have the
admission terminated with immediate effect and his/her details will be communicated to UHS and PMC for further
necessary action. The college will give the next student in waiting list the admission/fee submission offer against that
vacant seat.
14. A student when accepting admission to the college shall mandatorily disclose to the college if a prior admission has been
accepted by the student to any other college, and such student shall prior to accepting such admission letter must in
writing inform the prior college of cancellation of their acceptance with a copy to the designated email of the Authority.
Failure by a student to cancel the prior acceptance of admission shall render all admission offers of the student as void
and the student shall be ineligible for admission.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These rules, regulations and timelines can be modified according to the any new Federal/Provincial
Government Policies and/or any new PMC notifications issued after the announcement of PMC MEDICAL AND DENTAL
UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION (ADMISSIONS, CURRICULUM AND CONDUCT) POLICY AND REGULATIONS 2022-23 dated 12
October 2022. Candidates must get updated information from college website www.simc.edu.pk or college admission office at
time of applying for the above programs.
