Communication is one of the most influential and the most impressive human discovery.

As time
passes it evolved and a lot of changes were made as every generation molded it as to what it is
today. Human language, Verbal and Non-Verbal communications, and Sign Language, are made
to communicate from one another. But the question is why is communication important? It is
simply because we communicate to convey our ideas, thoughts, or express our feelings. In this
essay I wanted to distinguish the 9 principles of communication.

The first one would be the trustworthiness, this refers to the value of the information that a
person wanted to convey; in communication, respect and accuracy of the information is a must.
We can't just say something that is not true especially if the information we wanted to convey is
something that is needed to be accurate and true, this applies to news or if the information is
needed for investigation or it has something to do with clinics or hospitals. Next one is Effective
speaking skills, having an effective speaking skills is very vital in communication as there could
be some misunderstandings if the message was not clear enough for the other person to
understand, this is to avoid conflicts. Effective communication skills can also be used to public
speaking or in business. Next is Active listening of course since we needed an effective
communication skills we also needed to have an active listening skills, just like having an
effective speaking skills, we must have an active listening skills to avoid misunderstandings and
conflicts, this is needed in a two-way type of communication typically in conversations, this
could also be used in teacher to students conversation or discussions, this could also be used in
interviews. Another principle is Good Writing skills, having good writing skills can really elevate
people who wants to write stories to share to the public, this is the skill needed for news writers
and story tellers, this is important in communication in terms of non-verbal ones, an example of
this is the textbooks, and newspapers. Good Reading skills is the next one, having the good
writing skills also means that we must also have good reading skills, this is where reading
comprehensions comes into play, having this skill can help us understand the information in
newspapers or textbooks. In communication being a constructive critic is way of judging
someone's work or ideas, or thoughts in a well-mannered way without of course judging too
harsh. As I mentioned above, communication needs a respect from one another. The next one is
value difference, this has something to do with group discussions especially in meetings, valuing
different contributions of the different individuals in a group discussion can really strengthen the
relationships, this is a way of valuing other person's ideas making them feel that they are heard or
included in the discussion. Next is No assumptions, this is a way of accepting something as true
and certain even without certain evidence, just like in the court, the suspect is innocent until is
proven guilty, this means that their opinions and thoughts are all valid until they are proven as
fact or not. This means that we have the freedom to say anything or to convey our thoughts.
Lastly is Authenticity, Unlike the No assumptions principle, Authenticity is something that we
also need to consider, just like what I mentioned above, respect and accuracy of the information
is a must and we can't just say something that is not true especially if the information we wanted
to convey is something that is needed to be accurate and true, authenticity is what gives our
information valuable to others.
In conclusion, these principles are needed in different types of organizations and educational
institutions, without one, or two, or three, we wouldn't be able to expand our knowledge when it
comes to communication. In this essay, we have explored the importance of each principle,
looking at real-world examples and emphasizing how they all work together to improve
communication abilities. Essentially, the nine principles act as a guide for good communication
as well as a spark for constructive change in interpersonal interactions, professional
environments, and local communities. When we implement these concepts in our daily
encounters, we not only improve our own conversational talents, but we also help to create a
more peaceful and interconnected world. I hope that with this informative essay, I gave a clarity
and sparks the interest of the readers in the art of communication.
