Dear Self
D. Bantilan
Dear Self,
I saw your reflection in the mirror,
I saw your never changing smile,
I saw your courage to face life every day,
I saw everything, even those things you are hiding…

The struggle you’ve endured alone,

The sorrow you’ve felt alone,
The tears you’ve shed alone,
The loneliness you’ve fought alone…

Let me tell you how proud I am,

Let me tell you how strong you are,
Let me tell you how happy I am,
Let me tell you how fortunate you are…

Remember you are doing good in life,

Remember you are strong and brave,
Remember you are important,
Remember to learn how to love yourself more.
