TOUCH

- touch is one of the five senses that people have

- organ of this sense is skin
- skin has millions of tiny nerve endings which get information about the objects, textures
and temperatures that come into contact with body
- nerves send information to the brain and they tell you whether is something hot, cold,
rough, smooth or sticky
- some parts of the body (like fingerprints, lips and face) have more nerve endings than the
rest of the body, which is why they are more sensitive to touch

- it protects and covers the muscles, bones, and other organs and holds them together
- it keeps our bodies at the right temperature
