Nervous System

It is the system that transfers information from every

part of the body to the brain. The N.S tell you what is
going on in the world around you.
It help the body to react or to respond.

The Nervous system is divided by:

1- The Sense organs
2- The Nerves
3- The Spinal Cord
4- The brain
1- The sense organs: Animals use the sens to know
what is going on around them. The sense organs
allow humans to speak, think, taste, hear and see.
- Touch
- Sight
- Hearing
- Smell
- Taste
2- The Nerves: The nerve cells are called Neurons.
The neurons pass messages throughout the body.
Neurons are made of a cell body, an axon, and
dendrites.
- The cell body is the main part of the neuron
- Dendrites receive messages from oter neurons
- The axon sends messages to other neurons

3- Spinal Cord: It connects the brain with the rest of

the body. It is protected by the backbone

4- The brain: Is the control center of the nervous

sytem. It is made of the cerebrum, the cerebellum,
the amygdala and the brain stem.
Cerebrum: it learns, reasons, decides, and feels fear and joy. (voluntary
actions)
Cerebellum: Controls the balance and posture
Amygdala: Control emotions and memories.
Brains stem: Controls the blood plessure, heart beat, breathing and
digestion. (invountary actions)
