CORDINATOR: Excuse me Mam, May I come in?

TEACHER: Yes, Phoebe Please come in.

C: Sorry to disturb you during your class mam. But, I would like your attention to this issue.
T: Sure, What can I do for you?
C: Mam the English Club of our college, would like to conduct a SPELLING COMPETITION. So I wanted to
discuss the possibility of organising the competition in the college premises. I believe it can be a
fun and educational activity.
T: That sounds like a great idea! Spelling competitions can be both engaging and beneficial for the
students. What details do you have in mind?
C: I was thinking of scheduling the competition tomorrow i.e the 30 th of January, which is also the
Martyr’s Day. The English club will take whole responsibility of promoting and preparing the event.
T: That’s Amazing! How do you plan to conduct the competition?
C: The competition will be held in the auditorium.

T: That sounds like a good format. How about the mode of the competition? Will it be individual or
team-based?
C: I was leaning towards team participation to highlight teamwork among students. However, we
could explore individual-based options for future events.
T: Individual sounds great for this first competition. What about the difficulty level of the words?
C: I was planning to have a mix of difficulty levels to challenge the students while still making it
enjoyable.
T: Excellent. Do you have any specific criteria for eligibility, or is it open to all the students?
C: I think it should be open to all the students. It would be a great opportunity for them to
showcase their language skills.
T: Agreed. I'm fully supportive of this initiative. Let's collaborate on preparing the word lists and
any materials needed.
C: Thank you mam. I'll start working on the details and get back to you soon. I appreciate your
support.
T: You're welcome! I'm looking forward to it. If you need any assistance, feel free to reach out.
C: Absolutely, will do. Thank you again mam.
