AAWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
On November 3 2020, 12:30 PM – 12:55 PM , I start my lesson with KG1B. The learning outcomes were:
1. Compare fruits according to color and shape
2. Match number with quantity
3. Counting 0-10 forwards, backwards

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for?
Where did the lesson take place?
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
What did the students do?
I taught and math lesson for KG1B student online using Teams. My personal goal was working on my
voice. I will keep it in the same tone during the lesson, students are more engaged if I have that happy
teacher voice tone and clear voice. Last lesson I was suffering from my tooth pain I was trying my best to
keep my voice tone clear and I actually did very well my MST text me that day and said that I did pretty
well with my voice. I think this is one of my strengths because I believe my voice could catch the students
attention and keep them focused with me and.
Also are use hand sign like thumps up so the students can be more focus and excited to answer my MST
told me that this is one of my strength areas.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
How well did you engage the students?
Lesson after lesson I think students are accustomed to me and respond very well. I can tell because of
the lesson today, I was very happy about my lesson today students were able to name the fruits and
count with me. Some students were participating today like Sheikah she is very smart girl but she is really
shy even with her and MST and the Arabic teacher, usually she barely participate, but today I was really
really happy that she participate when I call her name and I call her because her camera was open and I
want to try to ask a question and she answered. In my last lesson the maths lesson I asked her question
and she was a little shy I thought she won’t respond to me so I give her a little bit time and at the end she
actually count with me and she answer the question.

I engaged my students by playing songs and I asked questions to make sure that they are understanding
and engauging.

Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?
I think students enjoyed the lesson and be able to follow up and understand the lesson. They were active
and happy, I think they liked simple activates like the shape fruits activity and the colour of the fruits
activity as well as the matching numbers with objects, I love seeing them happy and smile in the class. In
the future I will be more aware of what my students like. I was trying to communicate with the student
what the teacher voice tone and try to encourage them to try to share their answer.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
What are the implications for your professional practice?
It was a great experience to teach KG 1 students in the future I will try to look for more activities. I follow
and listen carefully for my and MST and M city feedback to improve myself in the future.
