AAWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
On November 1, 2020, 11:00 to 11:25 AM, I start my lesson with KG1B. The learning outcomes were:
1. Review the sound of letters
2. Letter J
3. Matching objects with numbers.
4. Key words:
Can you see? Yes I can .

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for?
Where did the lesson take place?
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
What did the students do?
I taught and math lesson for KG1B student online using Teams. My personal goal was working on my
time management I will give each section of my lesson the right time I will try to avoid being on hurry.
I am still working on this goal since my last lesson because I think I was not fully reached it. However, I
think each lesson I get better.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
How well did you engage the students?
Lesson after lesson I think students are accustomed to me and respond very well. I can tell because of
the lesson today, there was some issues with my camera so I present without it, to be honest I was worry
that students may not be attention, but they were focus with me and answering and I was really really
happy about that.

Students were able to say the sounds of the letters, they were able to read the sight words also “Can you
see” “yes I can”. They were also reading with me, and they write the letter J.

These past two weeks I was paying really attention to the students behavior and what they prefer so in
order to engage with them I use oral questions and videos didn’t really like songs so I tried to engage
them by playing songs and after the song I ask them questions to make sure that they understand and
they are in gauged.

Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?
I think students enjoyed the lesson and be able to follow up and understand the lesson. They were active
and happy, I think they liked simple activates like the matching numbers with objects, I love seeing them
happy and smile in the class. In the future I will be more aware of what my students like.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
What are the implications for your professional practice?
In my next lesson I will make sure to avoid mistakes and technical issue. Also to improve my next lesson I
will listen carefully to my MST feedback.
