ACTIVITY 1: Self-introspection
Ask yourselves as to what level of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs you identify yourself
with. What are your plans to move on to the next levels? How are you going to go
about it? Share your reflections and plans with a trusted friend or classmate.
• Reflecting on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, I find myself currently focused on
the lower levels, particularly physiological and safety needs, as I navigate
through daily life and work towards personal stability. To progress to the next
levels, my plan involves prioritizing educational and career goals for esteem
needs and fostering meaningful connections to satisfy the love and
belongingness stage. For self-actualization, I aim to engage in personal
development, creative pursuits, and contribute positively to society. To
achieve these, I plan to set specific, achievable goals, seek mentorship and
guidance, and consistently reassess and adjust my strategies. Sharing these
reflections and plans with a trusted friend or classmate provides valuable
perspectives, support, and accountability in my journey towards higher levels
of Maslow’s hierarchy.
