The Island of Tasmania is a state of Australia.


Oceans and seas surround Australia.
The Pacific and Indian Ocean surround Australia.
Seas as Bass Strait, Tasman Sea, Port Phillip Bay, Coral Sea,
Gulf of Carpenteria, and Timor Sea surround Australia too.
In Australia, the Pacific Ocean lies to the east and the Indian
Ocean to the west.
THE CORAL REEFS

The Great Barrier Reef is a beautiful natural wonder


along the eastern coast.
The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef.
It stretches along the eastern coast for about 1,200
miles.
There are three kinds of coral reefs: fringing reef,
barrier reef, and atolls.
AUSTRALIA’S NATURAL RESOURCES

God has blessed Australia with many


important resources.
Many rich mines are in western Australia.
Other important minerals, such as coal and
oil, are found in eastern Australia.
