Chapter 9 Disassembly

9.1 XN-XX Housing cover

9.1.1 XN-530/550
(1) Use a straight bladed screwdriver to turn the screw on the right side of the housing 90º
counterclockwise to open the right side cover.

(2) Loosen the securing screws on the top right side cover.

(3) Remove the cover as shown in the figure. The screws on the other side have only been inserted.

(4) Loosen the securing screws in the cover on the left side, then pull it rearwards to remove it.

(9) Open the front left drawer and loosen the securing screws on the side.

Pull out the left drawer.

9.3 Drive MECH_ASSY NO. 269
(1) Remove the screws securing the Drive MECH_ASSY NO. 269.

(2) After removing the Drive MECH_ASSY NO. 269, remover the CP_UD_LS sensor mentioned
above.
(3) Disconnect the motor connecting cords (“CP_UD”) of the Drive MECH_ASSY NO. 269.

(1) Remove the tube connected to the rinse cup.

(2) Disconnect tube connected to pipette and cut tie wraps to cable tie securing the tube.

9.5 Slider_ASSY NO. 184
(1) Loosen the screws securing the Slider_ASSY NO. 184 and remove the feeder assembly.
Disconnect the sensor and motor connectors connected to the Slider_ASSY NO. 184. When
removing the unit is difficult, remove other units for eash access.
Set to
motor.

(1) Remove top cover.
(2) Disconnect “CPU USB” connector from USB1 on CPU board. Remove wiring cord from the clamps.

(4) Remove the WDF_1 and RET tubes from the prism sensor. Route the connecting cord through the
opening in the chassis.
