ADJECTIVE CLAUSE REDUCTION ASSIGNMENT

1. Reduce the following adjective clauses to adjective phrases, if possible.

a. I know the student who is sitting at the front row of the theater.
b. The girl who was chosen to be the captain has played for three years.
c. John Brown, who is 23, works at Chase Bank.
d. Pauline Johnson, who is the manager of the restaurant, lives in Ottawa.
e. I went to a hotel which was located on 7th Broadway.
f. Nancy likes restaurant that serves spicy food.
g. The reporter who was captured during the raid was released yesterday.

3. Reduce the adjective clause/relative clause by using “to infinitive”, “-ed”, “-ing” or
“being + ed” construction.

c. The relationship that this research revealed provide valuable insight for both
researchers and practitioners.
d. The report which will be published next month will contain all the important facts.
