A Global Dialogue on Electric Mobility

20 – 21 NOVEMBER 2022
HOTEL TAJ PALACE, NEW DELHI (INDIA)
The global mobility landscape is at the cusp of transformation with the advent of
Electric Vehicles (EVs). Globally, cities like Oslo, London, Paris among many others are
leading this transformation. The Government of India has also signalled the beginning
of a new era of mobility in India, with a vision to promote EVs through policy
interventions such as the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles
(FAME), and Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Advanced Chemistry Cell
(ACC) Battery Storage. These interventions have the potential to ensure that India
emerges as a global leader in new mobility solutions and battery manufacturing. From Jan'22 to July'22, EV

Goal
To create a national platform for EV dialogue
In India, the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi (with a population of 20.6 million in
2021) has emerged as one of the leaders in enabling this paradigm shift. The transformative
journey started on 7th August 2020, when the Government of NCT of Delhi (GNCTD) notified
the Delhi EV Policy. The Policy aims to have an EV market share of 25% across all new vehicle
sales by 2024. The Policy envisions to establish Delhi as the EV capital of India by
accelerating EV adoption across all vehicle segments, especially in the mass category of
two-wheelers, public/shared transport vehicles, and goods carriers.
