REPORT ON GUEST LECTURE ORIENTATION

The guest lecture orientation held on 21 st November

2023 for the 1st year B.A.,LLB. Students. Orientation
aimed to give more information about the field study of
law and chamber practice by ADV. THOMAS GEORGE
legal manager of Zolostays pvt. Ltd in the presence of
Prof. Preeti S.Desai, principal BILS and faculty.

The guest lecture orientation commenced with a

warm welcome speech and detailed information about
ADV. THOMAS GEORGE in the field study of law by Ms.
Ambika Bhat K.S Asst. Professor. Preeti S.Desai,
principal BILS welcomed Adv.Thomas George by
presenting plant.

Adv. Thomas George made the orientation interesting

by asking students to share that why they have chosen
profession of law.

And started his oration by discussing about his initial

days as a law student, shared his experience as an
internship in chamber practitioner and litigation
practitioner. Explained students that “LAW
PROFESSION” needs lot of time, lot of patience and lot

of sacrifice. Gave brief idea about how court functions,
procedure and communication formalities with Hon’ble
judges, shared his experience with his senior
colleagues and discussed how to present a case under
a senior and how to present a case individually and the
abundance of happiness to present a case individually
in front of bench.

And suggested students to do internship under

chamber practicing senior advocate so they have a
idea what field of law to get into and suggested to be
updated with what is happening in and around the
world.

And opined that “SUCCESS” doesn’t come over night,

it takes lot of hard work and worship. Ended this
oration with some q and a by students.

The guest lecture orientation came to an end with

vote of thanks by Ms. Ambika Bhat K.S Asst.Professor.
