 Mr.Ammar raised a concern regarding the cooling load requirement for the
rack area as it is not enough for the space as per the rule of thumb it is
coming very low.
 Mr. Afsal Responded by mentioning the input values which is provided on
the hap calculations and stated that the the main load for the particular
space is only the façade loads (thermal load inquired on the space through
the walls which are directly exposed to the sunlight).
Since the space is only intended for storage there will not be much activity
on the space and further there is no much occupancy load or load from the
electrical appliances.
Mr. Afsal also mentioned that the temperature considered in the HAP
calculation for the rack area is about 26°C, then Mr.Ammar was surprised
to know this and asked why this is considered, then Mr. Afsal responded by
showing him the hard copy of the Amazon standard regarding the same.

Moreover HAP files are submitted to the Amazon team for the verification
and approval and it’s already been approved by Amazon.
Mr. Afsal added by stating that FAHU’s on the Mezzanine floor is also
contributing to the space cooling in addition to the FCU’s provided. It was
clear from his body language that Mr.Ammar not even aware about this.

Mr. Ammar’s concerns regarding the cooling load was over by then.

 Mr.Ammar’s next concern was regarding the air distribution, he stated that
as per the design drawing air distribution is by single fabric duct which
cannot distribute air properly to the space.
 Mr. Jithin defended by stating that as per the shop drawing the design is
modified by providing two finger duct in order to have a proper air
distribution for the space.
 Then Mr.Ammar argued that it is not enough, he want to provide three
finger duct distribution for the rack area.
 Mr. Ammar stated that he want a cost estimation for the rigid duct instead
of fabric duct.
 Mr.Afsal responds to it by stating that he already made a cost estimation
for the same and presented, and it was clear from the analysis that using
rigid duct is costlier (more than 90,000 AED price difference is coming for
the rigid duct) compared to fabric duct.
 Mr.Ammar again stated that he wants to have a cost comparison for the
rigid duct with 3 finger arrangement as per his proposal and fabric duct
duct with 3 finger arrangement.
 It’s already clear from the previous comparison that using rigid duct is
costlier for the same arrangement of fabric and rigid duct.
