How did literature develop from oral tradition and ancient writing systems to
the literature we know today?
 Literature developed from early oral traditions and ancient writing systems
through a long historical process that involved the interplay of cultural,
philosophical, and linguistic factors. As the human mind evolved to apply
creative reasoning and structure events into a narrative, early humans
began to share information with one another through storytelling. This
evolution has resulted in a rich and diverse literary heritage that continues
to shape and be shaped by human experiences and societies today.

What is authorial intent? How does this affect the way we read and
understand literary texts?
 The authorial intent refers to the intention or the purpose of the author in
writing a certain literary piece. It may include the moral lesson or the
themes that he/she wants to convey. Having a knowledge about the
intention of the author can have a huge impact on the way we read and
understand literary works, as it can give perceptions into the importance
and the meaning of the piece. Understanding authorial intent can provide
valuable insights into the themes, motifs, and symbolism present in a
literary text.

How do literary language and literary texts in general relate to your feelings,
emotions, and significant experiences?
 Literary texts relates to our feelings, emotions, as well as significant
experiences in a various ways. Literature allows us to have a connection
to the characters or even in a certain situation in the literary piece. Also,
literature provides a window into different cultures which allows us to
sharpen our knowledge about the things happening around us. Moreover,
literary works serves as a way for us to reflect on our own experiences
and emotions, in that way, we can better understand ourselves and other
people. By engaging with literature, we can deepen our appreciation for
the complexity and richness of human experience, and develop skills such
as critical thinking, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
