Network test (connectivity validation) in Vostio Service Tool

From Vostio Service Tool v2.4.13.0 there is a possibility to test the URLs which are mandatory for a Vostio system to work, and also to
test optional URLs. The network test should be performed on the networks to be used for Vostio devices (e.g. ASSA ABLOY Encoder 4010).
Due to this, the test should be performed once over Ethernet and once over Wi-Fi.
Note: If port security is added (URL and port restriction on the switch ports), please remember to use the network test according to the
below procedure on all ports planned to be used for ASSA ABLOY Encoder 4010 and ASSA ABLOY PMS Converter 4020.

Prerequisites
• Phone or tablet running Android 8.0 or higher, with Vostio Service Tool v2.4.13.0 or higher (available on Google Play)
• Ethernet adapter suitable for the Android device
• Access to the networks where Vostio devices will connect

Procedure
1. Figure 1: Click the menu icon up to the right on the Vostio Service Tool login screen and choose Network test.
2. Figure 2: Enter username and password for any Vostio Service Tool user, or if this is not available contact your local support.
3. Figures 3 and 4: When the test has been run, a list of mandatory and optional links will be shown. All mandatory links must be green for the
Vostio system to work. The optional links help to make Vostio better and help us give you a better support, but are not crucial for Vostio to work.
See next page for more information about the optional links.
Note: For security reasons, Vostio does not support firewalls that perform "SSL Inspection". Disable that for the listed connections.
Note: If there are any failures (red links) in the mandatory list and you are not able to resolve them, consult your IT department. If more help
is required, contact your local support.
4. Figure 5: The result can be exported by email etc.

More about optional links
The optional links cover the below areas:

Crashlytics The links collect information about crashes which have occurred in Vostio Service Tool, and describe the crash cause.

Performance The links collect information about how long time certain operations in Vostio Service Tool takes.

Analytics The links collect information about how Vostio Service Tool is used.

As stated previously in this document, the optional links help to make Vostio better and help us give you a better support. The information which is collected may contain
personal data. At first start of Vostio Service Tool, before login has been done, a screen as in Figure 6 will be shown. If the toggle button is left at the default as in Figure 7
and Done is clicked, the information related to the optional links will not be collected. If the toggle button is dragged to the right as in Figure 7 and Done is clicked,
the optional links will collect information. Once Done has been clicked for one of the alternatives, the message will not be shown again. If the setting should later be
changed, click Settings at tbe bottom of the Vostio Service Tool screen and click ‘Help us improve the app’ as marked in Figure 8.
