Proposal Submission FAQ

1. I have submitted my proposal but the file name has changed, my name has been added at the
back. What do I do?
This is a built-in automatic feature for file submissions via Microsoft forms. You do not need to
worry about it, nor contact me (Ms Nabila) regarding this matter.

2. I have not received the response receipt, & when I tried to resubmit through the form, I see
the following message: “Your response has already been submitted. This form allows only
one response per person”. What do I do?
This most likely means that your submission was successful, please check your spam folder for
the response receipt. Please note that the response receipt would have been sent to your
HELPLIVE email.
If you are still unable to find the receipt, please contact me (Ms Nabila) to confirm if your
submission was successful.

3. I am not able to submit my response / am having difficulty uploading files to the form, what
do I do?
Please contact me (Ms Nabila) immediately & provide a screenshot of the error message that
appears.

4. When will I receive a signed copy of my thesis proposal?

You will usually receive a signed copy either at the end of your oral defense session or after the
oral defense period, depending on your supervisor/co-marker’s working arrangement. Please
be reminded that you should be noting down the comments/feedback given during your oral
defense session.
If you have not received your proposal after the end of the oral defense period, please drop an
email to your supervisor to follow up on it.

5. Must there be 2 signatures (i.e. from my supervisor & co-marker) on the copy of the proposal
returned to me?
For online submissions, it is fine if your proposal copy only has one marker’s signature/initials.
You do not need to approach the other marker to obtain the missing signature.
