10th Anniversary

Building Joy Through Purpose and Belonging

Property
Purchase -
November 2012
In 2002 Karin Krause and Paula
Reif started the business plan
for what is now known as their
TIIN model. After nine years
they had enough support to
purchase the current property.

2014 New
Addition
Within one month we were
providing care and making plans
for an accessible addition. By
spring of 2014 we became a family
of friends with live-in staff, their
children, and additional residents

Best of
Madison
Madison was shocked when,
without any advertising, Hope & A
Future won Madison Magazine's
Best of Madison bronze in 2018.
This is unheard of for an
organization as small as ours!

Karin Top
Nurse 2021
Founder and Executive Director,
Karin Krause, was honored in the
Wisconsin State Journal as a top
nurse in the 2021 Heart of
Healthcare program for her
intergenerational practice.

10 Years- Honoring
our Mentors
November 2022 was our 10-year
anniversary. Our Family of
Friends gathered to celebrate and
honor long-term mentors Tim
Radelet and the late Bill Perkins.

Community Overcomes
Loneliness
58% of Americans across
generations are experiencing
loneliness. The TIIN model
brings together community
partners, volunteers, staff,
residents and their loved ones
to create a family of friends.
Volunteers
are Vital
Volunteers from all generations have
contributed their time and talents,
enhancing life at H&aF. From
offering help with maintenance to
exercise, gardening, games, and
music programs--flourishing
friendships thrive.

Gardens
Bursting
Over the past 10 years, hundreds of
volunteers have helped in our flower
and vegetable gardens. In addition
to our garden to table food sourcing,
our bounty has been shared with
volunteers and an area food pantry.

Music- connecting the

generations
Throughout many changes in
household members and resident
ability levels, music has been a
powerful tool for connecting
across generations and creating
relationships and community.

Expansion
Planning
As we continue to work on completing
our TIIN model, we are excited to see
real forward movement. To stay
current on our plans, sign up for our

Financial Update
Thank you to all our donors and volunteers. Through
birthday fundraisers on Facebook, caring for our property,
the Mallards 50/50 raffle, and much more your support
has been the foundation of our continued success at Hope
& A Future!
