An URGENT Appeal to IODE members everywhere:

It’s the Season of Caring and Giving

Please Do What You Can to Help the Hungry and
Ease Food-Insecurity in our Communities this
Christmas!

In March when the pandemic started, we asked you to sew and distribute
masks in an effort to do what we can to prevent spread of Covid-19 and
thank you for coming through to help.

It is now 10 days before Christmas and despite the arrival of vaccines, Covid-19
cases have skyrocketed and cities have gone RED and into lockdowns. And FOOD
INSECURITY and surging demands to feed the hungry and the homeless are facing
us, our loved ones, neighbors and the community.

We are again making an URGENT appeal to IODE volunteers and chapters

everywhere to do what you can to help our fellowmen and our communities!

Here’s How:

 Connect with your local food banks and volunteer your services to spearhead a
Christmas food collection and Covid-safe distribution campaign.
 Engage and partner with your local agencies, food outlets and supermarkets.
 Volunteer to help in preparation and distribution.
 Donate food items or dollars.
 Do Whatever it takes you can to make a difference.

It is amazing what can be done in 10 days! Thank you all.
