Since 2011, almost 3,000 children’s books (ages 0 to 6) have been collected during
National Annual Meetings, which then are donated to a centre in the community
hosting the meeting.

Through the generous donations from individuals and chapters, after the 2021
National Annual Meeting, we were able to donate books to Maupeltuewey
Kina’matno’kuom School at Membertou, Nova Scotia, for their library and daycare
facility. Book labels were sent and attached to each book, the total donations was
$1,270. Dawn Dugandzic, librarian at the school, responded “On behalf of the
students and staff of Maulpeltuewey Kina'matno'kuom we would like to thank you
for the beautiful books that you and your generous group have given us!”
