TO: MS. JANE T. SIRIBAN

Punong Barangay
Barangay TORAN
Aparri, Cagayan

Ma’am:

As the whole world grapples with the global pandemic of Covid-19, our town too has
been taking hits. Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was declared, shutting down
most establishments and ordering people to stay in their homes in order to promote social
distancing and restricting movements to prevent people from contracting the virus.

While all of these are undertaken the pandemic is causing severe economic distress for
the poor especially given that it has come at the back of a slowdown in economic growth
and increasing unemployment. In this context, we believe that the response to the Covid-19,
should in fact be seen as an opportunity for us to extend a hand to those who are in need
so as to mitigate their ongoing condition.

The UNITED ILOCANDIA CIVIC ACTION GROUP Aparri Chapter is an organization

composed mostly of young members who want to make a contribution to societal change
even at a young age.  We believe that our age does not hinder us in helping solve society’s
problems.  Instead, our youth is an asset that we can maximize since we are gifted with a
lot of extra time and energy to spend in helping others.

We are respectfully requesting permission from your good office to conduct a Relief
Goods Donation here on your Barangay, on Thursday May 21, 2020. Because our
resources are limited, our associates have randomly picked for us some of your residents
belonging to the indigent sectors of our community, as recipients of our Relief Goods
Donation.

In lieu of this we are requesting your assistance for this undertaking. Our organzation is
looking forward for your favorable consideration on our requests, so we can go ahead with
the plan. We will highly appreciate if you will be to grant us the permisson for these activities
to take place in your Barangay.

Thank you and Godbless.

Sincerely,
