JEANNETTE MENDOZA
Charter President
Rotary Club of Makati
Paseo De Magallanes,
City of Makati

Dear Rotary Club of Makati,

Warm greetings to you all! I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits.

I am writing on behalf of Dr. Felimon C. Aguilar Memorial College of Las Pinas, a locally-
funded tertiary institution dedicated to providing free college education. Our college,
founded by the late Mayor Vergel "Nene" Aguilar, offers a range of courses in Business,
Accounting, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering. Mayor Aguilar's vision
was to make quality education accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status.

As a tertiary institution, our curriculum necessitates a substantial amount of reading.

This is integral to the learning process and the overall growth of our students. However,
we have encountered a significant issue that hinders this growth. A notable number of
our students, at least 20 per section, suffer from blurred or poor vision and
unfortunately, they cannot afford to buy a pair of reading eyeglasses.

To address this concern, we have initiated Project: A.P.R.I.L. (Assistance Program for
Retina Improvement and Learning). This is an eyeglass assistance program aimed at
providing our students with the necessary tools to improve their vision and ultimately,
their learning experience.

We are reaching out to you, the Rotary Club of Makati, with a heartfelt invitation to be
the primary sponsor for the Free Reading Eyeglasses initiative. Your organization is
recognized nationwide for its philanthropic projects and for your kind hearts that have
continually supported the poor but deserving students.
This collaboration would bring together the City Government of Las Pinas, led by our
beloved Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar, the leadership of
DFCAMCLP headed by OIC President Ramoncito Jimenez, and most of all, the Rotary
Club of Makati under the leadership of Charter President Jeannette Mendoza.

Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of our students, empowering
them to reach their full potential and contributing to the betterment of our community.
We believe that with your help, we can turn this vision into reality.

Thank you for considering our proposal. We look forward to the possibility of working
together for the betterment of our students and our community. Your kindness and
generosity can make a world of difference in their lives.

Yours sincerely,

CESAR B. MERCADO, JR.
