Don't answer them. Don't click on

any links in the message, and don't
give out your phone number, email
address, or any other information on
any website you might be sent to.

Know what's out there

When was the last time you did your
own search online? Doing this often is
a good way to find out what kinds of
information about you, as well as
pictures and videos of you, are
available to the public.

When you check in or share

your location, be careful
Be aware that when you check in somewhere
or share your location, you are basically telling
everyone who can see what you post where
you are. You're telling your friends where you
are, but you could also be telling strangers.

Don't talk about yourself

online
Don't reveal personal information, no matter
what platform you're on. If you need to
share that information, do it in private and
make sure you know who you're sharing it
with and why they need it.
