Example Analytical Exposition Text
Before we are going to smoke, it is better to look at the fact.
About 50 thousands people die every year in Britain as direct result of
smoking. This is seven times as many as die in road accidents. Nearly
a quarter of smokers die because of diseases caused by smoking.
Ninety percent of lung cancers are caused by smoking. If we
smoke five cigarettes a day, we are six times more likely to die of lung
cancer than a non smoker. If we smoke twenty cigarettes a day, the
risk is nineteen greater. Ninety five percent of people who suffer of
bronchitis are people who are smoking. Smokers are two and half
times more likely to die of heart disease than non smokers.
Additionally, children of smoker are more likely to develop
bronchitis and pneumonia. In one hour in smoky room, non smoker
breathes as much as substance causing cancer as if he had smoked
fifteen cigarettes. Smoking is really good for tobacco companies
because they do make much money from smoking habit. Smoking
however is not good for every body else.

Example Hortatory Exposition Text
To improve comfort and cleanliness at our school, a number of dust bins should
be increased.
When we look at classroom, school corridors and school yard, there are
papers, mineral water cups, straws, and napkins here and there. The condition of
discleanliness and discomfort really hinders learning and teaching environment.
Litters thrown carelessly cause disease, especially empty plastic cups or glasses. They
can be filled out with water coming from the rain. This can be placed for dengue
mosquitoes to spread out. Besides, these rubbishes can deteriorate the scene. Well
painted wall and green school yard do not mean anything if litters are scattered
everywhere.
Anyway I notice that most of the students in our school have
responsibilities for their school environment. They put their litters on the proper
places. But some are not diligent enough to find the dust bins. The numbers of dust
bins in our schools are not enough. More dust bins should be put besides each of
steps, outside of the classrooms, and some more along the corridors. Probably one
dust bins should be in every ten meters. So when student want to throw away their
litters, they can find the dust bins easily.
If our school is equipped with sufficient dust bins, we do not have
problems of filth and discomfort any more. Our school will be very clean and become
a nice place to study. In this case, school must provide more dust bins.
