Introduction
A school is a section of the educational system that consists of pupils who are
divided into one or more grade levels or other identifiable groups, structured as a single
entity with one or more teachers to deliver instruction of a specific sort, and housed in one or
more buildings. As is the situation when elementary and secondary schools are situated in
the same building or compound, multiple schools may be located there. The first six years of
obligatory education, from grade 1 to grade 6, are known as Paaralang Elementarya, or
elementary education, with some institutions also offering a seventh year that is optional.
Mathematics, science, English, Filipino, and social sciences are all important disciplines.
The current COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly had a significant impact on the
Philippine educational system. In order to ensure everyone's safety, students across the
nation have been converting to current teaching techniques for more than a year. Most
students are switching to online education in place of in-person instruction, while those
without access to mobile devices or a reliable internet connection have vowed to find
alternate ways to further their education. The truth is that nothing will ever be the same
again, even while the continued administration of COVID-19 vaccines does give people
some reason to be hopeful about returning to normalcy in the future. The country's
educational system must change in order for students to complete their studies in an efficient
and productive way. Therefore, as architects who are professional in building structures that
is not only comfortable but also functional for everyone, we intend to proposed the Vanda
Sanderiana. Vanda Sanderiana is a 2050 Filipino School for kids or a 2050 elementary
school to be located alongside highway of Davao-Bukidnon Road, Davao City, Philippines.
Davao City known as the “King City of the South” has an eco-friendly mode of
transportation and will surely be a relaxing site to study in, with its resort-themed amenities
and welcoming community. The lot size of the chosen site location is 12,000sqm or 1.2
hectare. The standard lot size for every school should be 500-8000sqm. Schools need to be
functional facilities that are made for teaching, not merely for aesthetic purposes. The size of
the classroom should allow 30 individuals (not simply kids) to sit together or divide into
smaller groups, with storage cabinets. Open, well-designed teaching spaces may appear
lovely, but since one youngster can suddenly interrupt 90 students instead of just 30,
classrooms must remain just that: rooms. P.E. equipment, tables, and seats should have
adequate storage. a lovely workspace for sixth-graders. Lots of little spaces for teachers to
work on specific projects or educate groups of students with special needs. Make sure the
technology rooms have lots of workbenches and space for equipment. Therefore,
12,000sqm is a great choice for Vanda Sanderiana.
Vanda Sanderiana- A Proposed Filipino School for Kids 2050 aims to provide
perception of pleasurable environments significantly influences students' performance on
educational assignments. These institutions are appropriately labeled to be developmentally
appropriate and have vibrant settings to foster creativity and activity spaces to stimulate
mobility. Classes are not strictly limited to the conventional core disciplines of language arts,
social studies, math, and science. Instead, teachers adopt cutting-edge curricula and have
students learn about STEM subjects like robotics and engineering. With this educational
transition in mind, we design learning spaces to support the evolving curriculum such as
science laboratory. We want to create schools where our young people “learn to learn”. We
have moved away from the conventional lecture format and toward a personalized learning
approach that encourages distinctive classroom designs in order to align design with this
transition in education. In simply, Vanda Sanderiana is a Filipino School for kids with Smart
Classrooms to provide students a better-quality education to the possible continuous flexible
online learning in the future.
No matter the budget that has been set, we guarantee that flexible and individualized
spatial concepts will never be forgotten to this proposed project which is Orchid and
Butterfly. Budgets of various sizes can be met by creating flexible spaces by using
innovative design techniques. The appearance of Vanda Sanderiana improved by updating
color schemes to match school branding and modern aesthetics. The collaborative elements
of your curriculum can be strengthened by using adaptable furniture, which can help with
team teaching. No matter how small the improvements, they can all have a big impact on the
staff and kids. Overall, Vanda Saneriana promote educational programming and enhance
students’ and teachers’ academic experiences.
