This document outlines a course plan for a Data Base Management Systems course with the code 21CS53. The course will be taught over a semester from 2023-2024, with 50 total contact hours over 4 weeks. Students will be assessed through 60 marks for use and 40 marks for internal assessment. The course requires prerequisite knowledge of basic data mining concepts. Upon completing the course, students will be able to identify and define database objects, use SQL to manipulate databases, design simple database systems, and develop applications that interact with and apply relational algebra to databases.
