A PROPOSED RESORT- HOTEL PROJECT

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 2 – FINAL PLATE

DESIGN PROBLEM

The Architect was asked by a private client to design a resort-hotel project. It will be an
extension of their existing resort-hotel located at the North-east side of the property. The client
wants a tropical development that will take advantage of the scenic views of the Batangas bay
and the Sumbrero island overlooking their property. The proposal will feature a main restaurant,
function areas for small to medium sized events and relaxing rooms and suites that will conform
the taste of their local and foreign guests.

The site is located at hilly coast of Mabini, Batangas. The 3,390 sqm lot is bounded to the
Nort-East by their existing resort; to the North by a 3-meter-wide barangay road and other private
residential lots; to the East by a 8 meter wide National Road; to the South by a private resort and
other residential lots and to the East by Batangas bay overlooking the Sumbrero Island.
