Dear Sir,

I would like to be considered for the online news writing internship position
at the Hoot Welfare Society. My interests are international relations and law.
I have completed my first year of the five year BBA.LLB program as Symbiosis
Law School Nagpur. I have learned about the organization through Lawctopus, a website
supporting law students and lawyers to avail the many opportunities present in the legal
profession and through several students who have interned at branches of the think tank over
the years. Interning at the Hoot Welfare Society would allow me to continue my learning of
international relations and security and I feel confident that I could contribute substantively to
the work of the online internship while strengthening the skills I need for a career in
international law.
I am currently learning French from Coursera, as foreign language proficiency is an
indispensable in the globalised, multicultural, multilateral world of today. I want to
understand the culture, history and law of different countries. As a result, I have participated
in several Model United Nations, turncoat and parliamentary debates. I have won several
essay writing competitions and my work has been published at a website.
I have done research based internships at various NGOs before that have actively
been campaigning, running advocacy groups, hosting fundraising events, and charities to
educate the poor, children, minority groups, funding agendas to condemn violence against
women, such as rape, sexual assault and acid attack. The nonprofit organizations I have
worked at were Stambh, Kartavyam, and Muskurahat Foundation that are seeking to establish
equality, justice and fraternity in the society. I learnt drafting, editing, proofing, blogging,
documentation, report writing, handling case briefs, cultivated the art of judgment writing,
reading case laws, writing essays, articles, research papers on the subjects concerning
primarily by the organization. I had to daily write research papers on poverty, child rights,
transgender laws, violence against women, child abuse, environmental activism, and access
to healthcare amidst the COVID 19 pandemic.
Since I have studied world history, and political science with minor concentration
in international relations my subject matter expertise would be beneficial to the organization.
I would want to expand my horizon by learning about migration crisis in Europe, racism,
xenophobia, international disputes, global terrorism, and threat of protectionism in the era of
globalization.
I have attached my resume at your perusal highlighting my education and work
experience and a writing sample that covers the ongoing insurgency in Afghanistan. I hope to
have the opportunity to secure the internship position to learn about such a dynamic and
