History Lizardfolk Commune

The lizardfolk were the first encountered by the
elven in the lesser region of Opua (meaning
cloud). The lizardfolk initially fought the elves,
but were conquered; and then accepted by the
elves who forced them into the Kingdom. The
lizardfolk would later acquire a field turner from a
captured elven airship.
The lizardfolk's homeland Opua, is a pleasant
land in the main that has nonetheless experienced
great hardship throughout its history. The majority
of the lizardfolk prefer to live in Opua, though
significant colonies, outposts, and garrisons can
be found throughout both Mo'o and other colonies
controlled by the lizardfolk.
Social Characteristics
Soiy, the lizardfolk are a very contradictory
species, among themselves, lizardfolk are
democratic, almost to the point of chaos.
Lizardfolk society is organized from the bottom
up along roughly anarcho-syndicalist line, with
small numbers organizing themselves into so-
called affinity groups, a dozen or more affinity
groups making up local councils or soviets, and
so on up to the lizardfolk commune itself. Nearly
every decision is arrived at through consensus
among, a process which would be paralyzing to
most other races, but seems to work well for
them.
The lizardfolk commune is the government of the
lizardfolk after the empire's civil war. Althrough
they are not the most powerful government, they
have taken advantage of the post-empire chaos to
reassert their historic claim to much of Opoa.
The commune's commitment to democratic
decision making at every level of their own
society is strange, as the lizardfolk have ironically
proved themselves to be brutal suppressors of any
and all rival governments within their self-
proclaimed sphere of influence. The twenty
city/village government of the lizardfolk allienace
under the characteristics leadership of Isabella
Ortiz (Human Female), she managed to keep the
commune's forces at bay. But alliance forces were
routed in brutal fighting by the commune's
popular militia in CY 10.078, which put an end to
any thoughts of resisting the upcoming lizardfolk
dominance.
The commune's fighters are widely considered to
be among the toughest fighters in Lamuria, the
lizardfolk have since fought the Thieflings,
Dragonborns, Orcs and other neighboring powers
over matters ranging from trade disputes to even
perceived insults to lizardfolk pride and
sovereignty. Even the feared Drako-Kazov tribe
gives the lizardfolk commune a wide berth,
leaving the lizardfolk as undisputed masters of
their territory.

Unfortunately, this lizardfolk love for democracy

no longer extends to other races. Since the fall of
the empire, the lizardfolk have undertaken a
vigorous campaign of conquest over their land,
rulling firmly over their territories and ruthlessly
 Opua Alliance
The Opua alliancde was an alliance of twenty
cities/villages in the Opua founded by Isabella
Oritz. The alliance held for a period of time, but
was eventually conquered by the Lizardfolk.
According to some, the Opua Alliance was the
only stable government located in its area. The
Opua Alliance was apparently protected by a self
defense force. The alliance was led by a president.
Lizardfolk Alliance
The Lizardfolk Alliance was the primary
government and military forces for the lizardfolk
people during the Lizardfolk-elven war.
During the war between the alliance and the elven
kingdom, the alliance was crushed and absorbed
into the kingdom, and in turn, became part of the
newly formed empire. Although very little is
known about the war, it is clear that they did
manage to reverse engineer a vessel capable of
traveling through the primal rift, after the
captured a elven vessel, and in doing so made the
lizardfolk people rift capable.
Lizardfolk-Elven War
The lizardfolk-elven war was a brutal and large
historically important conflict that occurred
between trhe growing elven kingdom and the
lizardfolk commune. Chronologically, it occurred
in CY 870 to CY 895, in the elven kingdom's
early history. It is a notable conflict because it is a
significant uprising and the first sign of resistance
against the elven kingdom. It was also the first
time that an outside race attacked the elven and
also did quite well.
The war began when the elven kingdom, still in
its infancy and acting in an imperialistic manner
invaded the Opua, and area which had already
been under the control of the smaller but still
powerful Lizardfolk alliance. Unloike other races,
who had tried countless times to overrun and
capture the lizardfolk, and their extremely large
territories, the elves won the war through brute
force. However, the lizardfolk managed to put up
such an effective fight and endure for so long
because the lizardfolk had managed to capture a
elven vessel and reversed engineered the field
turner. Because of that they were able to build
their own vessels capable to travel through the
primal rift and change the rift point, and thus able
to defend themselves, as well as attack with the
same versatility as the elves.
After ten years of fighting, the lizardfolk had
nearly driven the elves out of Opua. The war
ended abruptly when the elves viciously attacked
the lizardfolk capitol Mo'o, with bombs and
destructive spells and weapons, turning most of
the city into an uninhabitable wasteland. Shortly
after the attack, the lizardfolk surrendered and the
lizardfolk people and government became part of
the elven kingdom. While lizardfolk may have
lost the war, it was the first time in history that
any race provided real resistance to elven
imperialism. It was a sign of the discontent that
was felt for the elven kingdom by the entirety of
lamuria.
The wounds left by the lizardfolk-elven war took
centuries to heal and in someway never have.
When the elven kingdom was transformed into
the empire, one of the empire's first acts was to
launch a restoration effort to the Mo'o in Opua,
which still bore the scars left by the elves
destructive attacks thousands of years before.
In the post-fall era, many people believed that the
lizardfolk defeat in the lizardfolk-elven war was
the reason why the lizardfolk ruthlessly and
fanatically attacked any person, group or
government they viewed as being threat to their
domination in the Opua.
 Battle of Mo'o
The battle of Mo'o was the final battle of the
lizardfolk-elven war. After years of fighting the
two sides were in stalemate; as the elves were as
determined to conquer the Opua as the lizardfolk
were to defend it. In a surprise attack the elves
attacked Mo'o, and devastated it. Shortly after this
great battle the lizardfolk surrendered, and their
territory became part of the elven kingdom.

Isabella Ortiz
Isabella Ortiz was a charismatic leader in the
post-fall political climate. She rallied 20
cities/villages into the lizardfolf Alliance to
defend against the lizardfolk commune. After the
fall of the alliance, ortiz fled to Opua's Anvil and
traded identities with and another woman for
protection. While there, she pretended to be a
bartender while her double pretended to be a
doctor. Eventually a surviving centurion came
looking for her, hoping she would help him. Ortiz
was at first reluctant but lizardfolk arrived soon
after, determined to kill her. Her double was killed
in the ensuring battle but the centurion and his
crew succeeded in driving the lizardfolk off and
rescuing her.

Opua's Anvil
Opua's Anvil is a small barren land, whose only
use is ore processing. It was hardest hit by the
lizardfolk, but the local settlers barely repelled the
attack. The small land was then attacked from
orbit, and made into a wasteland. It now has a
small settlement which is based on ore processing
facility.

One place of note was a former bunker converted

into a bar, which was owned and operated by a
woman named Saphai Wei (Isabella Ortiz). The
bar was all but destroyed by the lizardfolk
attempting to kill ortiz. What became of this land
afterwards is not stated.
