Summary

Steve looked up at Eddie, who was sticking his tongue out in concentration as he checked off
another slot on the sheet they'd found in one of Eddie's magazines.

He was checking off a lot more than Steve was, or at least it seemed that way.

He was also writing notes, the pencil scratching against the paper echoing off the walls of the
otherwise silent bedroom.

Steve was nervous.

If he didn't check off what Eddie did, would he break up with him? He said he wouldn't, but
what if they just realized they weren't compatible anymore and-

"I'm done!" Eddie's voice startled him from his thoughts. "You finish?"

"Uh," Steve looked down at his mostly blank sheet. He'd checked off the first few, they
already did some of those, but the rest felt like big question marks in his head. "I think so?"

Eddie squinted back at him before moving closer and setting his sheet down on the bed. "Do
you need me to explain anything?"

"No, I think I get all of them."

"Okay, good. So are you just not sure? It's okay if you don't know if you'd like them, this is
just about what we might wanna try together," Eddie leaned over to peek at his list, frowning
when he saw that most of it was empty. "Oh. You don't wanna try any of that stuff?"

"No, I do! I do." Steve sighed. "I think I'm just thinking too hard."

"Want me to go over some of my notes on these? Maybe it'll help you figure it out," Eddie
offered, his hand resting on Steve's thigh.

"Yeah, okay."

Eddie picked his sheet back up and cleared his throat, making Steve laugh at his theatrics.
Eddie smiled as he went through the top three things: petnames, handjobs, and blowjobs.

Then he got to honorifics and Steve panicked.

"I didn't check it off, but I put a note to the side that I would possibly be okay with 'sir' if you
wanted. It doesn't really do anything for me, but if it also doesn't make anything worse, so I'd
be into doing it if it meant you liked it," Eddie looked up at Steve, who looked like a deer in
headlights.

"Um, I guess I kinda thought they meant like, calling you 'daddy' or something, which I
wouldn't wanna do," Steve admitted.
"Then I think that's a no from both of us for now," Eddie smiled encouragingly as they
continued down the list.

"I like when you bite me and stuff, but I think no prep would be too much pain," Steve said
when they got to painal.

"You're...big. I don't know if I can handle your entire fist," Steve's eyes widened when Eddie
made a fist to emphasize before they both crossed it off.

"I'm not really interested in sharing my own cum," Eddie nodded as Steve agreed.

"What about if I tie you up?" Eddie asked while tracing a finger along Steve's knee.

"Would it be with rope or something else?"

"We could get some of that soft rope made just for this if you wanna try it. I think you'd look
beautiful all tied up in bed for me," Eddie gave him a cheeky grin. "Completely at my

Steve felt his breath catch in his throat at the thought. Okay, yeah, he did like that idea.
"Check it off."

Eddie smirked, but nodded. He'd already checked it off so he just moved onto the next.

"What about edging and overstimulation?"

"I don't know if I could last very long," Steve was usually pretty good in bed, had never had
any complaints. But Eddie was good at pushing his buttons just right, and if he did it to the
extent he thought this part of the list was suggesting, Steve would be a disappointment.

"It's not really about that, sweetheart. More like...okay, so you know how sometimes I tell
you not to come?" Steve nodded. "It's like that but for longer. Sometimes I'd just tease you a
lot, sometimes I'd take you to the edge a few times before I let you finish. And then maybe
when I do let you come, I'd keep my hands or mouth on you until you're begging me to stop."

"Oh."

Steve wasn't sure how he'd do, but he'd be willing to give it a try if it meant getting teased.
He loved being teased.

"So, yes?" Eddie asked with his pencil raised as if he hadn't checked it off.

"Yes." Eddie made a note next to it that Steve couldn't see.

"Choking? I put a check, but put a note that it would only be if I was facing you. Nothing
with your back to me or where I can't see your face for reactions," Eddie watched Steve for
any disagreement. "We can table it if you don't think you wanna try it yet. I want you to be
comfortable."

Steve nodded. "I'm safe with you."

Eddie smiled, leaning in to kiss his lips. "Of course you are. And we'll talk about safewords
after this, too."

Steve nodded and looked at the last thing on the list.

"Spanking." Eddie clapped his hands together. "I checked it off but put a note for it to be as
punishment only, not just a casual thing we do."

"Punishment for..." Steve knew there were certain expectations for all of this, that if he didn't
behave the way Eddie wanted and they agreed on beforehand, there would be some kind of
punishment. He just wasn't sure where the lines would be drawn.

"We can figure that out as we go. But maybe if I edge you and you come without permission,
I would spank you. Just a few with my hand. We don't have to bring any tools into it," Eddie
held up his hand. "I think I'd like feeling you anyway."

"I'd be naked?"

"Yes unless you'd be too uncomfortable. It's not all up to me, sweetheart. If you would rather
only do it while wearing something, then I'm gonna make sure that happens."

Steve checked it off and wrote a note to himself to the side that said 'lingerie???'

Eddie pretended not to see it, but Steve could see the blush high on his cheeks that gave it all
away.

They both set their lists to the side and looked at each other.

"Safe words?" Eddie finally asked.

That discussion was actually harder, especially the more distracted they got with touches and
lips in places they shouldn't be when they were having a discussion.

But Steve knew they'd figure it out, and that he'd always be safe with Eddie.
