How to use your Prime Price Loader Template
Step 1
Refer to the ‘Data Definitions’ tab so that you can familiarise yourself with the acceptable values that can be
entered into your template. We recommend printing the Data Definitions sheet so that you can refer to it as
you complete your template. We have also provided the following guidelines regarding whether or not each field
is required:
The column headers in yellow are required. To have the Prime Prices for your products uploaded properly, you
must complete all required fields. If you are not providing data for a particular field, leave that field blank (do
not fill it with N/A or something similar).
The column headers in orange are desired. It is highly recommended that you fill in all desired cells.
While editing a discount, if the add-edit-delete column is left blank for a product that exists in the Prime
Exclusive Discount, then new values will overwrite the earlier values. If the add-edit-delete column is left blank
for a product that currently does not exist in the discount, then this product will be added to the Prime Exclusive
Discount when the uploaded file is submitted.
Step 2
Click on the ‘PrimePriceLoader Template’ tab below to view the template with which you will create or edit a
Prime Exclusive Discount. The column headers in yellow are required; headers in orange are desired, but not
required.
Step 3
Many of the fields have drop-down list boxes with lists of valid values from which to select. If the value you
enter is not valid for that field, it will cause a validation warning when you validate your data. These drop-down
are fully useable by your choice of keyboard, mouse or both.
Step 4
Upload your file by clicking the ‘Browse File’ button on the Add Products section of Discount Creation or Edit
workflow. Once the file has been uploaded without error, please click the ‘Validate Products’ button to validate
the entries. Any items that fail validation will be indicated in the ‘Status’ section of the Review page. You will
also receive an email with the validation status of your uploaded products. You can review and edit the values
on the Review page before submitting.
Note: We recommend starting off by adding 10 to 15 or fewer products for testing purposes. After a complete
successful upload (where all items uploaded were activated), you can continue to upload the rest of your Prime
Exclusive Discounts.

Definition and Use
A unique identifier for the product, assigned by the merchant. The SKU
must be unique for each product listed.
Identifier for the discount type. This can take one of three values:
Amount Off, or Percentage Off or Fixed Price. The value must be
picked from the drop-down list.
The Prime Price discount for an SKU. If Discount Type is chosen as
amount off, the system will identify the entries as the local currency of
the marketplace (for example, an entry of 10 in the US will be read as
USD10; in Japan it will be read as JPY10; in DE and FR it will be read
as EUR10; and in the UK it will be read as GBP10). If Discount Type is
chosen as Percentage Off, the system will identify the entry as a
percentage off (for example, an entry of 10 will be interpreted as
10%). If Discount Type is chosen as Fixed Price, the system will
identify the entry as the fixed price to be set. (for example, an entry of
80 in the US will be read as fixed price is set at USD80; in Japan it will
be read as fixed price is set at JPY80; in DE and FR it will be read as
fixed price is set at EUR80; and in UK it will be read as fixed price is
set at GBP80)
This is the lowest discounted Prime Price that an SKU can reach. If the
discounted Prime Price falls below this minimum price, then the Prime
Exclusive Discount for the SKU will get suppressed. Unit is local
currency by default.
Indicate with an ‘a’ if you wish to add the SKU to your current
discount. A value of ‘e’ will edit the information corresponding to the
SKU in the discount. A value of ‘d’ will remove the SKU from the
discount. If no value is provided for this field, the record will be
applied as an add.
