Eng 3102 Translation and Interpretation – 1

This module deals with the theoretical aspect of translation and translation studies, the
background history of translation, general types of translation, features of a good translation, and
directives by different translators. It trains students to apply their theoretical knowledge to the
practice of translation. It also focuses on conceptual bases required to understand both the
principles and recurrent issues and difficulties in professional translation and interpretation.
