NOTICE

This is for information of all UG/PG students that from this Even Semester (January-June, 2024) onwards
they can view their attendance on their ERP Portal. The attendance will be updated on regular intervals.
This facility for viewing the attendance can also be utilized by the parents by using the ERP Portal of the
student. Separate provision for the parents in the ERP Portal will be provided in the due course of time.

All students are hereby advised to maintain their minimum required attendance as per the regulations
applicable to them.

UG/PG students prior to 2023 Batch:

(i) All students must attend every lecture, tutorial and practical class. The Institute desires 100% attendance
with a provision for consideration for absence on account of late registration, sickness or other such
contingencies. The attendance requirement of 75% of the scheduled classes in course is needed for
appearing in the examination.

(ii) A student with less than 75% attendance in a course during a semester will be awarded ‘W’ grade in
that course irrespective of his/her performance in the tests. The Course Coordinator, while awarding the
grades, will take into account the consolidated attendance record for the whole semester.

UG/PG students from 2023 Batch onwards:

All students must attend every lecture, tutorial and practical class. The Institute desires 100% attendance.
However, a minimum attendance requirement of 75% is compulsory for appearing in the End-semester
examination.

A student with less than 75% attendance in a course during a semester will be awarded ‘L’ grade in that
course and attendance grade of ‘LL’.

A student who has attendance grade ‘LL’ will not be allowed to sit for the End-semester examination in the
course in which the shortfall exists.
