Color Mixing Guide

Start with the main color and add additional colors in small amounts (one or two drops).
Clean the spatula after each use and between color changes.
Try your mixture on a small area and wait until it dries as the color dries slightly darker.
Most importantly, be patient and make small adjustments until the color matches just right.

3. Use our Color Mixing
Guide to prepare the
right color for your repair
in the empty mixing cup.
Start with mixing small
amounts of compound
to get the right color you
need. Please note that
the color will dry slightly
darker than it seems
when wet.
Did you make a
mistake?
You can easily wipe off
the compound with a
wet cloth or sponge. If
the adhesive is dry, use
rubbing alcohol and a
cotton swab or cotton
pad to carefully remove
the compound.
1. Prepare the damaged
area by carefully
trimming any excess
threads, jagged bits or
burn marks. If necessary,
use scissors or a knife to
cut off charred material.
Clean the area with 90%
rubbing alcohol and a
cotton swab or cotton
pad. Make sure that the
damaged area is level
with the undamaged
area. If needed, refill any
missing stuffing material
with cotton or similar
material.
4. Apply the color
compound to the
damaged area. Start by
filling the compound
under and along the
edges. Work from the
outside to the center.
Allow several hours to
dry until the compound
is no longer sticky to
touch. If necessary, apply
additional layers until the
repaired area is level.
