VISION OF THE SCHOOL

To Explore, Engage, Empower

VISION AND GOALS FOR THE YEAR 2023-24 BY THE STUDENT COUNCIL

● Community Outreach Programmes (Vital Waste Drives, Clothes Drives,

Money collection)
Community outreach programs, such as vital waste drives, clothes drives, and money
collection initiatives, are essential for addressing community needs, fostering engagement
and collaboration, promoting awareness and education, and creating positive change within
the community. It provides opportunities to educate the community on sustainable practices,
the importance of recycling, poverty alleviation, cyber security and financial literacy.

● Learn to Earn
By earning money through the Learn to Earn campaign and subsequently donating a portion
of their earnings, students learn the importance of giving back to the community. This
campaign cultivates a sense of social responsibility and altruism, encouraging individuals to
use their skills and resources to support those in need. It helps foster a culture of empathy,
compassion, and generosity within the community. It also provides an opportunity to learn
more about entrepreneurship and financial management which helps students get hands-on
experience while engaging in community.

● Food ATF
Packets of dry food can be brought by each class on specified weeks. A particular section
will be assigned one day of the week when they shall bring the food. All sections of each
class will receive the chance to bring packets of food items such as biscuits, muri, fruit cakes
etc. All the donations collected will be distributed to underprivileged children at the end of the
week by students themselves. This will not only help the underprivileged children but it will
also teach the students the lesson of helping those in need.

● Reading Partnership with underprivileged children

One does not need to be an intellectual to be able to enjoy good stories and literature. But
unfortunately, many children do not possess the privilege of such excitement. Hence, a
‘Reading Partnership’ can be held with underprivileged children. It can be a highly interactive
and inclusive session that will be held by students. The first session can be within Term 1
with the class 12 student council as the participants. The second session will be held by the
junior students council during term 2.

● Walkaway Gallery
The walls and corridors of a school are not just made of bricks and cement but are also
made of memories. Students can be taken for a visit to those hallways that consist of
memories and information. There are several boards that have been created with much
effort. The fourth floor of the Senior building has many new informative boards. Students can
also be taken to revisit old childhood memories in the Middle section and Junior section. This
activity will make the students more aware of their own school and will improve their ability to
appreciate art and facts.
● Masti ki Pathshala

● Reviving of Ikigai Club Initiative (peer-to-peer support)

During the pandemic, we were detached from society and the Ikigai club provided a safe
place for people to confide. It is important to revive the functioning of the club to promote
mental wellness and to have open dialogue which shall promote kindness and inclusion.
Every fortnight or so, two students will go to classes and start conversations with the aim to
reduce the stigma that comes with mental health and bullying and encourage students to
seek help and support as required. By discussing these topics openly and providing
resources, students who may be struggling with mental health issues or experiencing
bullying are more likely to seek help or intervene when they witness such behaviour. It will
create a safe space for students to share their concerns, seek support, and foster a culture
of openness and acceptance.

● Holding a school wide planting drive to help foster a sense of environmental

responsibility and encourage students to be more engaged in environmental issues.
This also aligns with the theme of this year “LiFE”, encouraging us to be more
environmentally conscious.

● Problem/Opinion Box (to be kept near the reception so that students get easy access
and can help in communication and provide an idea on what shall be worked upon)

● Collaboration between the council and NGO to invite over children and to raise fund
and awareness.

Happiness can only be enjoyed when it is shared with all. On days of celebration our school
holds interesting and enthralling assemblies. For instance, Children’s Day, Teacher’s Day
etc. On these days underprivileged children can be invited to our school to rejoice with us.
This can be done through a collaboration between the Student Council and an NGO who
would be interested in such an activity. Funds can be raised in school from students of the
senior section. The funds raised from activities like Learn to Earn can also be used for
purchasing gifts, food or even fun goods for the children from the NGO.

● Cleaning drives
Cleaning drives are significant for various reasons. They promote environmental
preservation, instil community pride, improve safety, raise awareness, and foster community
bonding. By actively participating in these initiatives, residents can contribute to the
betterment of their neighbourhood, creating a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant community
for everyone to enjoy. It provides an opportunity for students to learn about the importance of
environmental stewardship and the impact of human behaviour on the environment. This can
help to foster a sense of responsibility and encourage students to be more engaged in
environmental issues.

Aside from the these initiatives, we hope to start working and planning on Spardha, Shabd,
Nirmaan and Meraki.
