Padel is a racquet sport which combine the elements of tennis, squash and badminton. It is only
played in doubles, and is practiced outdoors as much as indoors.
The game was invented by Enrique Corcuera of Mexico, who created the first padel club in Marbella in
1974. The sport became very popular in Spain, which has been the professional circuit host of the
World Padel Tour where it has been played since 2005. Over the course of the past 10 years, padel has
begun to spread rapidly to the rest of Europe as well as to the United States.
Extremely fun, social and accessible for all, padel is a breath of fresh air that is revitalizing clubs with
an activity complimentary to tennis.

Thanks to its success, padel is now practiced by more than 10 million

players and is the fastest-growing sport in the world.

At Padel Connection, quality is at the heart of our concerns. All of our courts are constructed by
our engineers with concern to the smallest detail according to a process that is 100% in accor-
dance with the specifications established by the Fédération Française de Tennis.

We have our own technical office composed of specialized technicians who will
install your courts. A 100% French know-how accompanied with an expertise in
this field ensures a maximum quality installation. The construction is done in two
steps: first the concrete foundation then the installation of the court.

STEP 1: BASE WORKS

Our team of specialists will build your concrete base, an essential element in the
construction of your padel court. A well-done slab will prevent false rebounds
and allow better rainwater evaporation. We assure foundations that are solid,
durable and perfectly adequate to accommodate future padel courts. Security is
our priority, and all of our work is covered by a ten-year warranty.

CONVERSION OF A TENNIS COURT

It is also possible to build a padel court on an existing tennis court, a very
interesting solution for tennis clubs because of the small size of the court,
and also because the concrete of the tennis court can be used.

INSTALLATION OF THE COURTS

An ultimate level of attention to detail, including the following points which are too often neglected:

 The glass is perfectly aligned with the fence.

 In the corners, the two perpendicular glasses stick to each other,

there- fore eliminating the usual gaps that create a bad bounce.

 For the sake of eliminating bad bounces, we position the turf so that
it slightly exceeds the limits of the court.

 We verify the quality of the slab before laying the foundations in

order to avoid any bad bounces and problems with water evaporation

 A 10 year warranty which covers the entire infrastructure.

GALVANIZED STEEL FENCING

The steel that we use for the fencing is 4mm thick C9D steel which allows a
better rigidity and resistance then other courts which generally use 3mm. This is a
steel which is often used in outdoor constructions because of its strong
resistance to atmospheric corrosion. The steel is also galvanized, a process which
is
designed to increase the court’s resistance to

weather. All of the fastening hardware is in stainless

steel.

THE GLASS - Standard NF EN 1250-1

The tempered glass is treated through a process to improve its mechanical
properties. Tempered glass is two to five times stronger than ordinary
glass. Also, this process improves its resistance to shock, compression,
bending and tension.
We generally use 10mm thick glass for the standard courts and 12mm for
the panoramics, which require more strength.
