Accidents on roads are almost a common sight in India. Sometimes they take place due to negligence of the drivers,
sometimes due to poor visibility and at other times due to mechanical failures. Whatever be the cause, accidents
anywhere are dreadful as they cause loss of life, physical injuries and loss of property. I was an eye witness last week
to an accident. We were travelling in a train. All of a sudden, our bogie shook violently. There was a loud noise
outside. Almost all the passengers in the bogie were thrown off their seats and many of them got injured.

At first, we did not understand what was happening. But soon we came to know that an accident had occurred. Some
of the passengers jumped out of their compartments in panic. My father too followed them and broke his left arm. I
could not leave the compartment as a box fell on me from an upper berth and injured me. After sometime, a kind-
hearted man took me out. He told me that the accident had taken place due to the carelessness of the station master.
