During my time as a Marketing Manager, I did a Press Release and a Social Media Campaign
for the show “All Together Now”, “Shrek”, and “Shorts Festival”. I succeeded in booking a spot
on ABC 36 to talk about the show, as well. Below is the press release and some social media

Announce an Upcoming Production of

Music Theatre International’s

All Together Now!: A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre

Performances to take place November 13 and 14 , 2021

A fantastic selection of songs are featured in this brand new musical revue from shows
including Waitress, Ragtime, Rent, Matilda,Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Once on
This Island, and many more!

LEXINGTON , KENTUCKY, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14,2021. ACTivate, a program of Voices

Amplified in collaboration with Distilled Theatre Company announced that they will be joining
thousands of theatrical organizations around the globe by producing their own local production
of Music Theatre International’s All Together Now!: A Global Event Celebrating Local
Theatre. Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) created this revue for theatres
across the globe to use as a local fundraising event performed over the same weekend of
November 12, 2021. ACTivate, a program of Voices Amplified in collaboration with Distilled
Theatre Company performances are scheduled for Saturday, November 13 at 7:30 pm and
Sunday, November 14 at 2:00 pm.

All Together Now! features songs from MTI’s beloved catalogue of musicals including Come
From Away, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins, Company, Les Miserables, and
many more!

MTI’s President and CEO, Drew Cohen stated, “MTI’s All Together Now! is about bringing
people back to the theatre, whether as audience members or cast, crew and musicians. The
revue features songs from the world’s most iconic musicals, so there is definitely something for
everyone to enjoy. Our goal with this worldwide event is for organizations to provide hope,
inspiration and excitement to their communities through the transformative power of musical
theatre.

The Executive Directors of Voices Amplified and Distilled Theatre Company, Vanessa Becker
Weig and Wesley Nelson, are thrilled to bring this youth and adult company together for this
global event. Nelson stated: “Distilled Theatre Company is passionately committed to ensuring
our Lexington arts community strives to be a brave, equitable space for local artists. We are
proud to partner with emerging company, ACTivate for our tandem production: All Together
Now. Like our company ACTivate is firm in their social commitment to socially conscious art to
spark change in our community. Our team at Distilled Theatre Company is ecstatic to work
alongside ACTivate’s team in this upcoming musical performance.” Becker Weig stated: “I
cannot think of a better theatre company in the area for our students to work alongside and
learn from, the passion and talent of the Distilled team is always present in their accessible and
equitable storytelling.”

All proceeds for All Together Now will benefit ACTivate’s Artist Sponsorship Program. The ASP
strives to make quality performing arts education accessible to all.

The performances are November 13 at 7:30 pm and Sunday November 14 at 2:00 pm at the
Lexington Children’s Theatre 418 W Short St.The Saturday fundraiser is $22 Adults and $15
Students and Seniors.Sunday is a Pay What You Can Performance with a suggested $20
