• Interpretations of teaching
• Origins of teaching and principles of teaching
• Teaching strategies and methods
MODULE OUTCOMES
At the end of this module students are expected to:
• Understand the meaning of teaching and learning
• Reflect on their experiences and understanding of a teacher
• Interpret teaching from different perspectives
• Explain the origins of teaching
• Discuss various teaching strategies and methods

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
On completion of the module students will be assessed on:
• Understanding the meaning of teaching and learning.
• Competence in the reflections on their experiences and understanding of a
teacher.
• The interpretations of teaching from different theoretical perspectives and
principles of teaching.
• Explaining the origins of teaching.
• Discussions on various teaching strategies and methods.
