I. Rationale

Trees play a crucial role in combating climate change by absorbing

carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and releasing oxygen. As such, planting
trees is an effective way to mitigate the effects of global warming and promote
a healthier environment. Trees provide habitat for various wildlife, including
birds, insects, and mammals. By planting trees, we can help preserve the
natural ecosystem and promote a healthier and more diverse community of
flora and fauna. Trees improve air and water quality by filtering pollutants
and absorbing excess water during rainfall. This helps to promote a cleaner
and healthier environment for all.

Tree-planting activities provide an opportunity for community and

learner engagement and education. By involving learners in the initiative, we
can promote a sense of ownership and responsibility for the environment.
This, in turn, can lead to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious
community.
