VISA APPLICATIONS FOR A Digital Nomad Visa Requirements

All applications must be lodged in person at the Embassy by appointment.


You have to make an appointment by email: emb.riad.vis@maec.es

Requirements:

Each application must incorporate:

1. ORIGINAL Passport with a validity of at least 3 months subsequent to the foreseen


date of departure from any of the countries of the European Union. It must have at
least two blank pages and being issued within 10 years prior to the submission of the
visa application.

2. A photocopy of the passport’s personal data page.

3. Proof of address in Riad. Recent (less than three months old) utility bill.

4. ONE visa application form duly completed. Please, do not forget to include your e-mail
address on the visa application form, as this Embassy will communicate via e-mail
only.

5. ONE recent (less than six months) passport size colour photograph on a light coloured
background. Please do not staple or glue photo to the application form. Photographs
must be printed on quality photographic paper.

6. Paid Health insurance for the whole duration of the stay in Spain (proof of payment is
required) Travel Insurance is not valid. Applicants must purchase their health
insurance from a Spanish company (Ex. SANITAS, AXA, DKV, and ADESLAS). The
insurance must be comprehensive and with no excess.

7. Proof of sufficient funds; bank statement with applicant's name covering the past six
months .
8. Living abroad during the last 5 years Criminal record report officially stampeded by
the Ministry of foreign affairs of the country concerned and legalized by the “Spanish
embassy in that country”. Translated to Spanish with the Hague Apostille

9. A non-refundable visa application fee of 319 SR BY CASH

10. Evidence of having a business relationship with a foreign company of no less than three
months.

a) Employees must present a certified copy of their employment contract plus a written
authorization by the company to work remotely from Spain.

b) Self-employed people and contractors must present sufficient evidence of being in


business.

11. Certificate of Incorporation and Company Extracts of the aforementioned company. The
company must have been in business for a continuous period of no less than one year.
In Riyadh these documents must be obtained from the Companies Office
(https://www.companiesoffice.govt.riad/).

12. Curriculum Vitae. A relevant work experience of at least three years is required.

13. Original Degree Certificates duly legalised with the Hague Apostille

14. Full assessment of Overseas Qualifications by the Spanish Ministry of Education. An


Official Recognition Statement must be presented

).

15. Evidence of Occupational Registration in Spain if required.

16. Evidence of having completed the application for Social Security in Spain.

17. For family members: Marriage certificate and birth certificates of children (if applicable).
These documents must be legalised with the Hague apostille.

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE RETURNED TO APPLICANTS

The Embassy reserves the right to request further documents.
