Ambitious Essay

Crafting an essay on the subject of ambition poses a unique set of challenges, requiring a delicate
balance between personal expression and scholarly rigor. Ambition is a multifaceted concept,
entwined with aspirations, determination, and the pursuit of goals. As the writer, you must navigate
through the intricate layers of this theme, delving into its psychological, societal, and even historical
dimensions.

One of the primary complexities lies in defining and capturing the essence of ambition. It's not a
singular, one-size-fits-all concept; rather, it manifests differently for each individual. Your essay
should, therefore, strive to encompass the diverse nature of ambition, considering the various forms it
takes in different contexts and cultures. This requires thorough research and a nuanced understanding
of the subject matter.

The next challenge is to strike a balance between personal reflection and objective analysis. While
sharing personal experiences and anecdotes can add depth to your essay, it's crucial to anchor your
arguments in well-researched evidence and scholarly perspectives. This duality demands a skillful
interweaving of your voice with authoritative sources, making the writing process inherently intricate.

Moreover, the task is not only to present a comprehensive view but also to engage and captivate
your audience. Keeping the reader's interest throughout an essay on ambition requires a thoughtful
arrangement of ideas, a compelling introduction, a logical progression of arguments, and a satisfying
conclusion. The challenge lies not only in conveying information but also in making it resonate with
your audience on a personal level.

Furthermore, navigating the fine line between optimism and realism can be challenging. Ambition
often evokes notions of optimism and relentless pursuit of dreams, but it's crucial to address the
potential pitfalls and ethical considerations associated with unchecked ambition. Striking this balance
demands a careful choice of words and a nuanced exploration of the potential consequences of
ambition gone awry.

In conclusion, tackling an ambitious essay on ambition itself is no small feat. It demands a synthesis
of personal reflection, research, and a keen awareness of the complexities inherent in the topic. The
art lies in presenting a cohesive narrative that not only informs but also inspires thought and
reflection. Successfully navigating these challenges, however, can result in an essay that not only
explores the depths of ambition but also serves as a testament to your own intellectual and creative
ambition as a writer.

Crooks Essay
How does Steinbeck present the character of Crooks?
In the novel Of Mice and Men , the character of Crooks is used by John Steinbeck, the
author, to symbolise the downgrading of the black community occurring at the time in
which the novel was set. Crooks is also significant as he provides an insight into the
reality of the American Dream and the feelings of the people in the ranch; their loneliness
and need for company.
Steinbeck presents Crooks as a victim of racism and throughout the book, he is called
by the name nigger . Being black, Crooks is hated on the ranch. Ya see, the stable buck s
a nigger . The use of this word dehumanises Crooks and shows how black people at the
time, had no rights at all. He also says, If I say ... Show more content on HelpWriting.net

Steinbeck also writes, Crooks said sharply and the word sharply supports this idea
because it shows it is an immediate reaction to the intrusion. It is also like a defence
mechanism as he feels slightly paranoid about what is about to happen. He lets Lennie
in his room eventually but he continues to torment him, his voice grew soft and
persuasive . Crooks tries to use persuasive language in order to insult Lennie and take
advantage of his condition. Sp ose George don t come back no more(...)what ll you do
then? Crooks takes the chance to fight back from how he has been tortured in the past.
He also wanted to make Lennie feel how he has been feeling for most of his life; lonely
and isolated. Yet Lennie tries to fight back and Crooks gets scared and tries to carm him
down.
Crooks is also presented as powerless, as previously discussed it is perhaps this lack of
power that leads to his bitterness. One quote shows how Curley s wife threatens him
and Crooks sits down and doesn t fight back, Crooks had reduced himself to nothing.
There was no personality, no ego nothing to arouse either like or dislike . Steinbeck
tries to use metaphorical language to show that Crooks doesn t want to be seen and that
he fears for himself. It also shows that he is at the bottom of the social hierarchy mainly
because he is the only black person on the ranch. The repetition of the word no and
nothing

Unit 2 Assignment While reading this week I have found that Raymond Carver and
Bobbie Ann Mason have similar writing techniques. They also set the scenes similar
with a dark past with families or relationships. In Raymond Carvers story he explained
that a character was abused in a relationship and later found that her husband killed
himself. She said it was love but in a different way of showing it. With Bobbie Ann
Mason he set the scene with a familythat lost their son and now it will never feel the
same between them. The husband feels that his wife doesn t love him anymore due to
the fact she lost her son. Both scenes of each story are very dark and present a tragedy
within relationships. Both authors explain things that could go on in

Religion, Religion And Religion
Religion is a very difficult topic for me to navigate, and a rather personal one. While on
the surface I might seem very atheistic and anti religion, this is very far from the truth. I
have had quite a complicated relationship with religion over the years, and it is still
something I am struggling to figure out. When I was in primary school we were taught
quite a lot about religion. It was something that was constantly there in the school s
agenda, with assemblies every Monday morning in which our songs about recycling were
intermingled with songs about God and Jesus, and the things they do for us. Easter and
Christmastime were spent being told stories from the Bible and eating chocolates from
Nativity inspired advent calendars. I never really thought much about any of it at first,
being quite young and naГЇve. Having never really talked about religion much before
coming to school meant that this was the first I had heard about the matter, and hence
my impressionable young mind took these stories in to be truths as opposed to
religious beliefs. It was only when I became slightly older that the topic of religion
came up more frequently in my household conversations. I was still under the
impression that all of these stories I had been told were more or less true, but my
parents atheism soon caused me to begin questioning whether or not I actually believed
what I was hearing in school. I started to doubt that there was a God, simply because my
still impressionable mind was

super highway system that has the capability to transfer information. The internet grew
up to become an expanding source for amusement and intelligence; in a way that we have
never seen before. Since there isn t anything like the internet, as more people become
more recognized with the internet, the information that surrounds the internet develops
as well. Anyone can post ideas about whatever they want at any time of the day. The
internet allows us to debate or discuss our personal or social thoughts willingly. With the
use of spreading information, without buying additional materials to post information,
the internet seemingly grew into the power hub of information. There has been a thriving
dispute over whether there should be restrictions to the material we post. Some believe
that the internet should be censored, which would have the ability to block any content
that is believed to be a danger for society. I believe that some information should be
censored like the promotion of weapons and pornographyto children, but that should be
the parents issue. Since the internet grew up to be such a huge part of our world, I
believe that censoring the internet would create more problems for the future. The
internet belongs to everyone, so we should all have the ability to post anything we want
to say. Censoring the internet is like having a prison guard monitoring everything you are

It appears that Nike is taking a few steps in the right directions through innovation and
restructuring of their workforce to better position themselves financially in the long
term. Under Armour has proven year over year that they are indeed a growth
company. As their brand recognition and product availability increases so do their
revenues. Under Armour achieved a growth in net revenue by over 18 percent,
increased net income by 22 percent (suggesting financial discipline) all leading to their
ability to sustain growth year over year (Under Armour 10K, 2009). This considerable
increase in net revenue is attributed to an increase in apparel and the introduction of
footwear in the first quarter of 2009 (2009). Although Under Armour has only been
around 14 years they have only been traded publicly since 2005 (2009). The five key
growth drivers for Under Armour are: Men s and Women s Apparel, Footwear,

interpret larger portions of data and reduce larger portions of data. The measure of central

The analysis of a single individual, event, or group is a case study. There are different
types of cases, which are intrinsic, instrumental, and collective. When doing this type of
research one must go out into the field to observe or interview in a natural setting. In the
field, those collecting data develop a research role, which establishes the position of the
investigator and his or her relationships with others in the situation. At one extreme, the
researcher is a complete outsider, totally detached from the naturally occurring behavior
and activities of the participants. He or she essentially has no involvement in what
occurs in the setting. The researcher is detached coming in, collecting data, and then
leaving. A complete insider, on the other hand, is a researcher who has an established
role in the setting in which data are collected, engaging in genuine and natural
participation. Most fieldworkers roles are between these extremes, using what could be
labeled insider/outsider or partial participation. These individuals participate to some
extent in the setting, rather than just sit on the sidelines, but they are not full
participants. Case studies provide in depth information about people and the possible
insight into behavior, in which these can be more controlled at a later time. These types
of cases provide opportunities for new techniques. Case studies also make it possible to
research rare phenomena. Case studies provide

Nash said that the very qualities of love that he [Paul] enumerated stood in clear

Use Of Diction And Its Effects On Adult Men With Erectile...
Sildenafil, or more commonly known as VIAGRA, is a medication that is geared
towards adult men with erectile dysfunction, abbreviated ED (Medicines EMC). It is
stated that about 30 million men in the United States suffer from ED (Viagra). In Viagra
commercials and advertisements, blunt diction is utilized to highlight the common
insecurities of men, which creates this idea that in order to fulfill one s manliness, then
an individual would have to take Viagra. In this particular advertisement, I noticed key
ploys to entice a mansufferingfrom ED to take Viagra as a means by using a bold
selection of diction, a paradise getaway background seen from a cabana, and an inviting,
seductive woman.
In the advertisement, the audience may first notice the blue text in the upper left corner
that reads, Gentlemen: VIAGRA helps guys with ED get and keep an erection. The text
is light blue, which is the same color as the pill, to indicate that this product is targeted
towards males. The use of diction in this advertisement is straight forward with strong
connotation. It blatantly states what the product does. This could instill the idea that the
product is confident and a guaranteed investment, thus making the consumer believe that
it may help with his sex life. Viagra may also be intentionally bolded as a connection to
what the product is intended to do. The text looks bigger and bolder and the product s
purpose is to make a male suffering from ED to become bigger and bolder. This
Britain And The British Empire
As the British Empire developed into one of the largest in the world, the purpose of the
empire was questioned and how the empire would affect Britain created tension within
Britain. Throughout the eighteenth century, the British focused their efforts on a
commercial and maritime empire that would carry their values of liberty, equality and
rule of law with it. The accounts detail aspects of the first empire with the mentality and
the treatment that the men have regarding their ideas of Britain and her empire. Ideas
that would be challenged by the American Revolution and the Americans claim against
the British, such as repressive and calling the king a tyrant. This forced the British to
adapt the image of themselves and how they dealt with their empire. In order to
understand the changing times that the accounts are documenting, first the men need to
be placed into the society in which they lived. This will be accomplished through the
development of the empire s ideology and forming of the British identity, and then by
looking at the British state building and forms of nationalism with an emphasis on class
and gender within the nation. This will be followed with the British perspective of the
empire and concluded by discussion the mobility caused by the empire that is
demonstrated from the travel accounts. First, the development of the British imperial

Next, a special checking system could perhaps be integrated such that checks can run
automatically to check if measurement units or description of the quantities have been
tagged properly. This would help the quantity surveyor to start taking off immediately
after receiving the model instead of realizing it only upon tagging or when the quantities
are exported to the BQ. This is to reduce time wasted on checks and to increase
productivity.
Instead of exporting the BQ to a normal excel sheet, the quantities can be exported to a
program similar to excel but one that would allow certain automation that would allow a
change in all related figures when one such figure is changed. For example, when a
quantity for doors are changed, the summary and thus, the total quantity should be
changed as well. This is to reduce the chances of error when changes are made.
Lastly, I would suggest that there is an automatic way to integrate the substructure BQ
with the superstructure BQ. One that would be able to integrate without error. This is
especially important when the two models have the same elements in common and ought
to be placed together in the same category. Although this can be done manually, it will be
error prone, affecting the quality due to carelessness and other human error. As
mentioned previously, such changes will affect more than one tab on the excel sheet
which may be easily overlooked affecting many of the other quantities if

The Melting Point And Boiling Point
Results The results show that the highest melting point was 4 Hydroxybenzoic Acid and
the lowest melting point was Sulfosalicylic Acid. The highest boiling point was Octanol
and lowest boiling point was Methanol. When it came to the percent error the highest
percent error calculated was pentanol and the lowest percent error was Propanol.

Discussion
During this lab the melting point ranges and boiling points were recorded from several
substances. Based upon the structures of these various samples certain trends were
expected to be followed. For example, with the melting points of pure substances are
usually higher than the melting points of impure substances. In this lab the melting
point of Benzoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, 3 Hydroxybenzoic Acid, 4 Hydroxybenzoic
Acid, and Sulfosalicylic Acid were taken. If we apply the concept of pure substances
having higher boiling points, it was expected for substances like 3 Hydroxybenzoic
Acid and 4 Hydroxybenzoic Acid to have higher melting points and for substances like
Benzoic Acid and Salicylic Acid to have lower melting points. As for Sulfosalicylic Acid,
its melting point was the lowest so it was assumed that the substance was the most
impure. It was proven that the fewer impurities call for higher melting points. This is due
to the crystalline lattices structure of repeating ions or molecules. This lattice is held
together by intermolecular forces that create a strong, stable structure. The solid must be
heated to a certain
Show Title Sequence
Before every great television show, there is a great title sequence giving the audience a
peek into the show. The main job of the title sequence is to capture our attention before
we actually get the chance to watch the actual show. A title sequence is a visual program
that presents the title of the television show. Title sequences use key production and cast
members, using idea based sound. It usually has the text of the opening credits, like who
s involved in the production and helps establish the setting and tone of the program. For
example, in television shows where the theme is horror, there are usually vivid and sharp
illustrations of things that would make the general public somewhat afraid to watch. As

As the music goes on, the constant loud bang of the drum adds that scary effect that
you don t know what s going to happen next. The sound of a train and furnaces firing up
are amongst a few which add a heavier eerie feel to the sequence. The editing can be
seen that throughout the sequence a filter was put on top of the film, as well as this many
of the shots have a blur around the edges. This effect could connotate the feelings of
the main character when he first comes out of the coma. A time lapse shot has also
been used from 0:09 to 0:11 to convey the many years that have passed since he has
been in the coma. Many of the cuts are raw and sudden, the shot will go from
landscape (wide shot) to a extreme close up. Once again foreshadowing the events to
come, this could mirror the act of the zombies suddenly appearing. lump cuts are also
used In scenes of an abandoned house, giving a Jarring effect to the pace. The titles
appear amongst the scene, sometimes moving. The final title The Walking Dead
flickers into shot over a green background that fades to black at the edges. The use of
mise en scene in this sequence evokes anticipation in the audience. The post apocalyptic
world is conveyed through micro elements such as, the bare and dirty decor of the
abandoned house and the low key dingy lighting. The contrast of natural and low key
History Of The Galapagos Islands
The Galapagos Islands is an archipelago of roughly 19 islands and several smaller
islets, covering 620 miles off the Ecuadorian coast in the Pacific Ocean. Both the land
and sea are protected, making the island a World Heritage site. The islands are
recognized for its unique wildlife, especially because of the lack of predators. Visitors
can interact with the friendly wildlife such as playful sea lions and gigantic sea tortoises,
up close and personal. The incredible animal speciesserved as the inspiration for Charles
Darwins Theory of Evolutionafter his visit to the islands in 1835. Each of these actively
volcanic isolated isles boasts its own set of unique species, but share similar environment,
and climate. It is one of the most outstanding marine ecosystems in the world, situated at
the confluence of three ocean currents.
Prior to Spanish discovery of the islands in 1535, there is little evidence to support any
permanent settlement. Spaniard Fray Tomas de Berlanga s vessel drifted off course on
a trip to Peru and reached the islands. The English followed in 1593, and Irish sailor
Patrick Watkins is believed to be the first to establish a permanent settlement on
Floreana, when he was stranded between 1807 and 1809. In 1959, the Galapagos was

Essay about Product Life Cycle Analysis For The Apple Ipod
The alarm clock rings and its time to go for a jog and get the morning routine off to a

All of which create similar players that incorporate design and functionality. Although
some of these are household names none has been able to dethrone the iPod from
being the icon for digital jukeboxes. The first casualty that fell to the iPod was the
iRiver Rio that could not compete with the loyalty people have for Apple. Part of the
iPod secret is the iTunes software. This is a platform where you can download music
into your iPod and organize the files. It offers a library of over three million songs
from very diverse genres of music. Others have tried to mimic this concept but have
not been able to create the following that iPod has. An example of these failed ventures
is the Sone Connect store which is attempting to offer Sony s MiniDisc player as an
alternative to Apple s iPod. Even Wal Mart, Amazon.com and Tower Records are also
seeking a piece of the action by selling individual songs for a cheaper price than iTunes
by adding these retailers the market is growing and becoming more and more
competitive. It can be a safe assumption that Apple s iTunes internet downloadable music
will partly replace the traditional channels through which music had been distributed in
the past. It is evident that since its emergence into the market this little monster has
gobbled up the market share of digital music gadgets. Apple has been able to directly
penetrate the market and enable a quick adoption for the iPod.
Non-Traditional Childbirth
In this week s response we are given the choice to choose to respond on the topic about

interesting as this topic may be and all of the possible childbirths there are this stood

First off, by definition a water birth is a birth in which the mother spends the final stages
of labor in a birthing pool, with delivery

How To Play Golf Essay
6 things you should know about golf.
IT S A MIND GAME.
Practice is a necessity to play golf. It doesn t come naturally for everyone, but for a
few, it may come naturally just like many other sports. Golf requires a positive attitude
at all times. While playing and practicing you always need to tell yourself that you can
do better than you already are. When you are doing awful, or carry on a few bad holes
in a row, you need to shake it off and try again. Until you learn to obtain an excellent
attitude and practice, golf will always be hard.

2. YOU WILL GET INTO TROUBLE.

Any hazards around? Think about a better option next time you try to hit over the
water. Golf can be hard and you will make plenty mistakes. While some people are
decent at hitting out of the sand trap, others are not as great. Hazards go all the way
around the course in various spots along the way, but you have to try your best to stay
out of trouble and not hit into the water numerous times. Getting into the sand is one
story, but trying to get out of the sand is a whole other story. For most golfers, hitting
out of the sand trap is one of the most difficult shots they will ever learn.

Buying a new set of golf clubs every year you grow out of them can also get quite
expensive. Golfers often want special golf shoes to wear while they are playing, but
those can frequently cost $100 or more. Golf clothes are also very expensive to buy.
Sometimes a single golf polo can cost $60 if it is name brand. Even if you decide to buy

make a decent amount of money for winning tournaments, so when they buy equipment

The Las Vegas Metro area now encompasses a population of nearly 2 million, and is
still growing. IT has its economic downturns as the rest of the country also does, yet it
seems to bounce back as much of the revenue coming through this area is transient from
elsewhere. Las Vegas as of recently has developed into more of a family friendly location
complete with Amusement theme parks, water parks and outdoor activities for children.
It is this atmosphere we are tapping into, with our devotion to amusement and excitement
with a boardwalk relaxing atmosphere.

Economic feasibility and Market

With the aforementioned nearly 40 million tourists last year bringing with them their 9.5

this location as a prime target location for our boardwalk concept. The tourism industry
has recovered pleasantly from the most recent recession and Las Vegas has shot back
into action with three additional planned themed resort casinos being built on or near the
Las Vegas Strip within the next 5 years. The competition is booming and with it comes a
necessity for action. The future expansion planning within the Las Vegas Area calls for
additional development of highway roads, as well as further expansion of the current
monorail system within the strip downtown gambling corridor leaving more expansion

Film Review Of Camila
Camila Film Review The tyrannical period of Argentina from 1829 to 1852 was filled
with brutality and death at every corner; no one was safe, not even the wealthy or the
immaculate. The corrupt regime, flooded with strict rules and forced advocacy,
dominated society for over twenty years. During this time, two unlucky lovers fell deep
into the unforgiving pit of this cruel regime. The film Camila , with its star crossed
lovers juxtaposed in a callous and dictatorial society, has a dark romantic plot soaked with
violence. This melodrama features constant blood spill and horror under Argentinas
tyrannical leader, Juan Manuel de Rosas. The film features violence such as the killing of
a bookkeeper, the brutality of Camila s patriarchal family, and the ultimate demise of
Camila, her unborn child, and her lover. Although never pictured, this unforgiving
ruler leaves quite an impression in the two main characters lives, who are never able
to escape the heinous regime of Rosas. Camila shares the tale of two unlucky partners
who become stuck in Rosas never ending web of death and discontent. The film reveals
how brutal and unforgiving life was during this period. The beginning of the film shows
Camila s grandmother being locked away due to her previous relationship with a
viceroy. She is automatically rejected from society and imprisoned in her son s home.
Although she manages to escape death, her life is essentially tossed to the side just for

The Role Of Chief Role Of Chief Financial Officer
GC3 was established with the purchase of fourteen Coffee Hut stores in Columbus,
OH, by three former Coffee Hut associates. Over the next few years, GC3 expanded
into Cincinnati and Cleveland, but have kept Columbus as their regional headquarters.
Moving forward, GC3 grew with the purchase of Great Scoops and DaDeli. Due to this
extreme growth, and the need for centralized decision making, most of GC3 staff will
reside at the company s headquarters, aside from store managers and administrative staff.
With the continued growth, it is important to develop a corporate structure. The three
forerunners of GC3 are Tony, Bruce and Bonnie. Tony has taken the role of Chief
Financial Officer. To be successful, Tony will need to build a team to meet the demands
of the entire organization. Since Tony works at headquarters, a proposed IT and
Accounting group will report to him. These added responsibilities will create a need for
Tony to have one main direct report, a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will
directly manage the newly added IT department and Accounting department. Since
headquarters will be responsible for all accounting functions throughout the organization,
an AP/AR clerk will directly report to the Accounting and Payroll Specialist. With the
many new proposed software additions, an IT person will be needed. IT will reside at
headquarters and have the capabilities to remotely access all PC s at any given time to
monitor and troubleshoot technology issues.

The Significance Of Women During Colonial America
The Significance of Women During Colonial America Life during colonial America
was bleak; in many colonies such as Jamestown or Plymouth, from fewer than 150
people, a new community an ocean away from their old homes had to be created.
Factors like agriculture, shelter, and economy were no exception to the long list of
necessary things that needed to be developed. At first, the colonial people continued to
abide by the same customs that they had back in Europe. As time passed, though, they
began to have a different approach. One of the norms in Europe was that women were
to stay inside the house to attend to housework and to take care of their children.
However, in colonial America, that wasn t the only thing expected from women; the
role of women changed drastically. Despite it being considered improper in Europe for
women to work outdoors or tend to businesses like men, colonial women joined men
outside with tasks ranging from agricultural duties to handling business affairs
(Bjornlund 24). Consequently, colonial American women played a critical role in the
success of their families and the American colonies, as well as America s independence.

Essay About Jose San Martin
About Jose San Martin Jose San Martin was one of the Latin American liberators. He
was the leader of Argentina, Chile, and Peru as they revolted against the Spanish rule in
the area. San Martin was a military ruler. He was born in 1778 and died in 1850. Chile
attained its independence in 1818, Argentina, 1812 and Peru, 1821 (Fernandez 14). Most
of his tactics involved boldness and patience along with military tactics. He lived at a
time when most of the people in America who were well educated were Creoles. In
fact, some of them had gone to Europe to further their studies. Despite being quite
significant to the liberation of the Latin Americans, he was not always known
historically. In fact, some people today call him the quiet Liberator because he did not
always make himself known (Mayochi 2012) Specifically, San Martin was a leader in
Argentina. Argentina was the first country to gain independence out of the three
countries he led (Verley, 2009). The Spanish rule was still in modern day Peru and Chile.
San Martin and Bolivar met and agreed to liberate the country. How they come to the
agreement is not clear. What is well known is that San Martin gave Bolivar his army for
him to rule. Bolivar, with the help of San Martin s army then brought independence to
these countries. Out of these three countries liberated from Spanish rule, Argentina and

Oedipus Rex, by Sophocles

young man, who continued to fight and kill the driver and the man he was

fulfilled the prophecy of the Oracle, and blinds himself in his grief. Laius and Jocasta
should never have abandoned Oedipus on Mount Cithaeron. If Jocasta and Laius had

inadvertently killed his father or unknowingly married his mother and the prophecy
foretold by the Oracle at Delphi would never have come true. Oedipus could not

Cloud Storage And Direct The Conversation Of Digital...
Digital preservation is key in enabling individuals to access, understand, and use
information (Meghini). There are many challenges facing digital preservation including
limited storage, policies, and cost. To meet these challenges, some have proposed the
incorporation of cloud storage in long term preservation plans; I disagree. This essay
seeks to highlight the weaknesses of cloud storage and direct the conversation of digital
preservation to more reliable means.
To begin with, the rate of creation of digital data far exceeds the storage available to

Moreover, cloud storage provides the option to grant others access to your data for
viewing and editing, transforming your data into a group project. Cloud storage is also
beneficial in that it is a way to create backups of information. Should disaster strike your
computer system, the information you stored using cloud storage would still survive
off site. I can testify to the usefulness of cloud storage. While working as a librarian
assistant at a public library, I was introduced to the many benefits of cloud computing
and storage. It also comes in handy for the occasional group project as a GSLIS
student. How wonderful it is to easily access documents and collaborative projects on
the go, away from my desk, without need for contacting my coworkers or fellow
students for updates on what they each had accomplished; it is all accessible wherever I
have access to the Internet.
However, with the convenience of cloud storage come real risks. Cloud storage is quite
attractive, given the advantages previously stated, but there are still great concerns,
including reliability and security. Organizations relying on cloud computing must ensure
that the third party they ve entrusted to store their data can guarantee that they can access
their information at any time and that their information is safe from the threat of hackers

Homelessness Is A Major Topic Affecting The United States...
AbstractHomelessness is a major topic affecting the United States and other parts of the
world; it is a very complex issue that affects the community from an economic and a
social perspective (Clapham). This paper will focus on how urbanization has played a
role in the homeless population and homelessness in general; we will also look at the
recent reports that homelessnessis on a slight decline. We will propose ideas on what we
can do to affect homelessness as well. Defining what exactly it is to be homeless and
the difference between homelessness and homeless was very difficult to do as
numerous sources gave very difference responses with categories and subcategories.
National statistical series contain title to no information on the homeless; the census
essentially only takes into consideration those with homes. Based on prior research
primarily conducted by Peter H. Rossi and James D. Wright along with several other
sources, we are able to propose several ideas to help reduce the amount of homelessness
in the United Statesand other countries along with more empirical data.

lifestyles. These programs usually incorporate health topics such as managing blood
pressure, weight control and management, stress management, healthy eating,
cholesterol management, cancer prevention, and exercise programs. Instructing the
basics is an excellent way to start the workforce on a healthy lifestyle (Lotich, 2011). A
prime example is Diabetes Mellitus. Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that occurs when
the body is not able to use blood glucose (sugar). Blood sugar levels are controlled by
insulin, a hormone in the body that helps move glucose (sugar) from the blood to
muscles and other tissues. Diabetes occurs when the pancreas does not make enough
insulin or the body does not respond to the insulin that is made (Staff, 2008). Although
there are many reported causes including some genetic susceptibility, obesity and diet
play an essential role in developing diabetes, as well as drinking high volumes of
alcohol; therefore, diet, stopping drinking alcohol, and exercise can be preventive... Show

linked to stress. Stress has been predicted to be high on the list of causes of all kinds of
disease, and mental illness, which is another area of chronic diseases such as depression
and anxiety disorders. Therefore, stress management programs such as meditation and
relaxing techniques, time management programs, effective parenting, dealing with
troubled teenagers, and the likes are great classes organization should consider. Other
prevention programs for consideration should include smoking prevention, reducing
excessive use of alcohol or weight loss programs are directly related to presenting
disease that is associated heart and lungs diseases, cancers, liver disease, cancer of the
pancreas, early dementia,
Alka Seltzer Temperature Change Lab Results
How does the dissolve rate of the Alka Seltzer tablets change as the temperature of the
water changes? The dissolve rate is being affected by the temperature of the water.
Temperature is a measure of kinetic energy in molecules (NYU). The higher the
temperature, the higher the kinetic energy. Energy is required to create a reaction.
Molecules with more energycome into contact with each other more often. The
molecules of the reactants have to come into contact with each other, so more energy in
molecules result in faster dissolving time.
If the temperature of the water increases, the dissolving time of the Alka Seltzer tablet
will decrease. This is because molecules of warmer water contain more energy than
molecules of cooler water. The extra ... Show more content on HelpWriting.net ...
One of our flaws was that the temperature of the water was not exactly the same when
we did the different trials. The temperatures were slightly off from our recorded value
during the experiments. The change in temperature would affect the time it took for the
Alka Seltzer tablet to dissolve in the water. If there was a direct relationship between
water temperature and dissolve time, we would not be able to see it because the
temperatures are off and the dissolve times are not associated with the correct
temperature. Another flaw is that we did not use the same amount of water throughout
the experiment. We used a beaker to measure the water, which did not result in accurate
measurements. The difference in amount of water could result in a difference in reaction
time. The third flaw in the experiment was that during the reaction of the warm water,
the water in the cup overflowed and spilled, bringing some of the Alka Seltzer tablet
with it. There were different amounts of tablet in different areas of the water, which
means a different amount of Alka Seltzer remained inside of the cup in each trial. This
difference would mean that data for the warm water would fluctuate and we would not
have accurate
Multiple Signs Of Infection, Retinal Vascular Sheathing...
Our patient presented with multiple signs of infection, which can t initially be pinpointed
to one disease alone. The three important signs to initially address and understand the
science behind are perivasculitis, retinal vascular sheathing and retinal hemorrhages. All
three medical definitions appear straightforward and all very similar, but the combination
of the three leads to a serious diagnosis and urgency for this patient.
Perivasculitis is an inflammation of a sheath surrounding the tissue 1. In class we
discussed the differences between perivasculitis and periflabitis. Perivasculitis should be
white because of the inflammation and the white blood cells then spilling out. The
Prefix peri means around, or on the outside of the tissue. Retinal vascular sheathing is
sheathing or cuffing of blood vessels and vitreous cells . The swelling or cuffing of
blood vessels in the retinal layer is a serious condition and is often associated with
vasculitis. Finally, a retinal hemorrhage is abnormal bleeding of the vessels in the retina
2. Retinal hemorrhages can be caused for a variety of reasons such as injuries like
forceful blows or accidents and falls, as well as adverse health conditions. We know
that the loss of vision can be largely attributed to the excess debris that is currently
located in the eye, the debris being blood that is leaking out. Our case states that he has
no previous trauma however, proving that there is an ulterior cause to the acute onset of

Research Paper On The Storming Of The Bastille
What was the Storming of the Bastille?
The Bastille was a medieval fortress located in the east of Paris. It was built in the 14th
century to guard the entrance to Paris. It had eight towers linked with walls, all 100 feet
high. A moat that was more than eighty feet wide surrounded the fortress. During the
17th and 18th century, the Bastille was used as a prison for those who were thought to
doubt the government and its power. The Storming of Bastille took place on July 14,
1789. A large mob of Parisians, mainly consisting of craftsmen and salesmen, marched
to the tower in search of weapons and prisoners. The crowd, however, did not impress
the few guards on duty at that time. Some representatives of the mob were allowed to be
let into the prison; the plan was to diminish some of their anger and waste time while the

However, when the rescue team arrived, they joined the mob instead of defending the
fortress from it. The guards soon gave up, letting the mob into the castle. The people of
the mob killed the guards, allowing them to free the prisoners and steal the weapons held
in the Bastille. There were not many prisoners being held during the Storming of
Bastille; only seven were freed. On the night of the storming, 800 men began to destroy
the castle. This was the first violent act of the French Revolution that would key many
more acts of violence during this time. The Storming of Bastille signaled the beginning
of the French Revolution, as well as the downfall of King Louis the sixteenth and Marie
Antoinette . Two days after the storming, the National Assembly ordered the remains of
the building to be burned. The people cheered as the prison walls crumbled. In France,
July 14th is now known as a national holiday. Bastille Day honors this crucial event in
French history, the holiday commemorates an
My Family Monologue
Ollie: Academy for the Adolescence, founded in 1774. I read out loud to my parents.
My family and I are standing in rounded cement pathway around a statue with what I
assume is the headmistress. I gaze up at the statue, I look at all of her face facial and
take in the sense of what it would be like to actually be her presence. After awhile of
me standing there in awe, daydreaming, my parent s guide me into the big brick house.
There is a deck, wood, very old, it creaks when I walk on it. There are two giant door,
side by side, that are propped open by two women who are greeting each family by
name. It s our family turn to walk through the door. Welcome back Mrs. Emerson! , the
two ladies say in sync with one another. We walk onto newly... Show more content on

blood, oh no, he counties. It seems the boy is trying to punch harder every time. Then
the boy laying on the ground being punched looks at me. I instantly gain sympathy for

Chants of, FIGHT!FIGHT!FIGHT! circle around me, until it just becomes another
noise like a light buzzing. Then this angry boy starts to punch me. The first punch isn t
hard but alerting. I hate fighting, so I don t do anything. He finally kicks me so hard
that I go through the door, opening it. It feels like my spine just cracked in 36
different areas. I m laying on the floor, the boy follows me out the door along with
more boys chanting in FIGHT!FIGHT!FIGHT! Everything now just sounds like
ringing. The angry boy sits on top of me. He starts punching me in the face. I just take
it... Then I look to my left and see someone not chanting, just staring at me. I stare
back. I look away, accepting what is happening to me. Then the angry boy moves from
my chest. I see the boy who I made eye contact with, is now yelling at the angry boy. I
can t hear what they are saying, but it looks heated. Then out of nowhere, the one I made
eye contact punched the angry boy in the face. He fell to the ground, I think
