THE TERRITORY OF THE DEVIL?

INTRODUCTION

It is no a gain saying to say the devil exist and he is ever active, he is always on the look out

for men whom he is going to devour.

Though the devil never created a thing but Doubting or not believing in the ability of he devil

to recreate things for the advancement of is his kingdom is one way to death.

Therefore the Bible in the book of 1 Peter 5:8 gave us a stern warning to be "Be sober-minded

watch The adversary of You [the] devil as a lion roaring prowls about seeking whom to

devour" this is because the devil has been against the works of God from the beginning when

he ( the devil) fell, therefore it as been been his assignment to destroy the creation of God

especially man.

To overcome the gimmicks of the devil there is a need for us to believe in the death and

resurrection of Jesus Christ, because the is what sets a man Free from the power of sin as said

by Apostle Paul in the book of Romans 8:2 which says:- For the law of the Spirit of life has

set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

Therefore, the first deliverance every man should have is the deliverance from the the law of

sin and death which can only come through the Blood of the Lamb.

How then can a christian invade the territory of the devil?

Though devil was dethroned from even and he lost his position before God but that doesn't

render him powerless, he still have the power to manipulate things and make people dance to

his to, and also to inflict trouble on men especially believers in Christ Jesus but there is a
privilege we all have in Jesus Christ, and as written Rev.12.11 - And they have defeated him

because of the blood of the Lamb and because of their testimony. And they were not afraid to

die.

From this text it is cleared that we are aways at war against the devil who is also know as the

dragon, and those who refused to accept Jesus Christ is always at the receiving ends. But there

is an advantage for every believer in Christ Jesus because the blood is always available to

help us against the power of the devil.

Below is the clear description of how a believer can invade the territory of the devil.

As it as been established that the first thing a man should do to be ree from the bondage of the

devil is to be born again.

Now the first thing to note in invading the devils territory is having the clear understanding of

who you are, Psalms 82:6 says - I said, You are gods [since you judge on My behalf, as My

representatives]; indeed, all of you are children of the Most High. -- amp.

Also John.1.12 told us that: - But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the

authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe

in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name. amp, 2Cor.5.17 have this to say about the

identity of a believer in Jesus Christ 2Cor.5.17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new

creation; the old has gone, the new has come! NIV

These biblical texts and others attest to the transformational identity of every believer in

Christ and also their place in the heart of God unfortunately most Christians don't have the

knowledge of whom they are and the are falling victim of the assault of the enemy, therefore

the first step to invading the devil's territory is to know that you are not under his bondage but

that you are a very man in Christ Jesus.

The second thing to note in invading the devil's territory is abstaining from sin. Ain lure a

man into the den of the devil and makes a man incapacitated to wage war against his enemy

who is the devil, we have the example of Samson in the scripture who entangled himself with

the foreign nation and have to pay dearly with is life. That's why Apostle Paul advice us as the

soldiers of the cross not to entangle ourselves with civilian activities, we must always be on

guild as the devil roar, we must not be ignorant of his (devil's) devices but we must always be

prepared for battle.

Another thing is for Christian who wants to invade the territory of the devil is to put in the

whole armor of the Lord as explained in Eph.6.13 - 17 that we should: Therefore put on the

full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground,

and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled

around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted

with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Take the helmet of salvation and the

sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. NKJV with this we will be able to wage war

against the devil and invading is territory and snatching men from his grip with be easy.

Lastly on this note, what a Christian can do to invade the territory of the enemy is to bind the

'strong man' as explained in Mark.3.27 - In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and

carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house.

Jesus Christ himself make it clear that it's only the stronger man that can bind the strong man,

the devil is portray as a strong man and to bind him, you have to be stronger, then you bind

him and plunder his house, as believers (Christians) it is expected that we engage ourselves in

spiritual exercise like prayer and fasting, because this is what helps us to build capacity in the

Spirit to face the devil and also the study of the word of God ( Bible) must not be neglected
because every words to defeat the devil is in it. Therefore Christians must engage in spiritual

activities as soldiers that we are, we must not be met unprepared.

STRATEGIES?

The devil is always on the look out to gain access and control into the life of every christian

and he is not tired and will never be, therefore believers must not be ignorant of his devices.

Here are some of the strategies of the devil in gain access to a Christian's life.

Weariness: One of the gimmicks of the devil in gaining access to christians life is to introduce

weariness into their heart by making things work contrary to the promise on their lives.

Seduction: The devil comes in a cunning way to seduce believers to believer in the contrary

information to that which was given by the word of God, as he did with Eve in the book of

Genesis 3:1-7, All the devil had to do to convince Eve to sin was just to introduce a contrary

information, different from the instructions given by God, Eve fell to his seduction and it

birthed troubles that all human race still suffers from today.

Time mismanagement: Another thing the devil does is to help christians to waste their

precious time on things that doesn't matter, things that doest have kingdom value. And it's so

disheartening that a lot of believers fall victim of this most often.

Sin: The master of all is Sin, by which the devil manipulate and gain access to the lives of

Christians is sin, because when a Christian falls into sin and refuse to ask for forgiveness

immediately when he is convicted, the devil take advantage of that gap between the Christian

and his God. This shows that , the work of sin in the life of every believers is to detach us
from the source of Life, Jesus Christ. Sin takes away the covering of God over the life of a

Christian and makes him vulnerable to attack and assault from the devil.

How can christians overcome this?

How then can christians overcome this strategies? The devil is already condemned to eternal

damnation and his desire is to drag everyone along with him, but to overcome this, we must:

 Be prayerful

 Be a student of the word as the psalmist said in psalms 119: 11 says: - I have hidden your

word in my heart that I might not sin against you. NIV.

 Be sensitive, as the devil roar about, we must be sensitive to him and be prepared always

in other not to fall victim.

 Rely on God, He is always ready to help us overcome the works if the devil.

 Keep away from sin, do not entangle yourself with sin in other for the covering of God not

to be taken away, Samson taught the Spirit of the Lord was with him ( Judg.16.20 ), and he

said: 'I'll go out as before and shake myself free." But he did not know that the LORD had

left him. NKJV

 We have to be careful of sin less we chase the presence of the living God from us and

makes us vulnerable to the attack of the devil. Beware of sin.

CONCLUSION

Conclusively, we are giving power to walk upon the serpent and not be biten but we have to

guild our heart with all diligent in other for us to stay strong the Lord Jesus Christ.
