CAS Thanksgiving Party
Last December 13, 2023, the CAS Council held the Thanksgiving
party with the theme "CAS Eras Tour 2023" which is about the albums
or the so-called eras of the American singer and songwriter, Taylor
Swift, thus, explored a dazzling day to have the students of CAS wear an
'era' of their choice. The event was spearheaded by the CAS Council's
Auditor, Chloe Elisandra Malalad; and was hosted by the President,
Aldrin John Tagayun, together with the Public Information Officer,
Darlene Pomperada.
The program began with an opening remarks from Jade Roxanne
Fajardo, the Vice President for Non-Academics; it was then followed by
an opening prayer lead by Zyaren Kristianne Reyes, a fourth-year
student from BS Psychology. During the event, games were also present
which were spearheaded by the Treasurer, Denise Antoneth Plangca,
alongside with the Secretary for Non-Academics, Chelo Maruh Aranza.
The celebration would not be complete without the raffle segment which
was sponsored by the CAS Faculty members, together with Ms. Carol
Segubience, a first-year student from AB Political Science, that
sponsored the christmas gifts—fulfilling happiness to those students that
won from the raffle.
A performance from the CAS' Spotlight then made the hearts of
students be filled with ashtonishment. After the significant performance,
the search for Mx. Eras Tour 2023 had then began. The judges were
Prof. Relaysa Briñas, Rassel Jian Melanio (CAS-a La Vista Title
Holder), and Khloe Fule (CAS-a La Vista Title Holder). The chosen
attendees went through an interview followed by an intense question and
answer portion that they had braved from. The winners of the pageant
segment received their sashes awarded by the judges and early christmas
gifts from Ms. Segubience. Before the event had ended, a raffle segment
then again made the students of CAS excited to make their holidays
complete. The celebration had then marked its end with a closing
remarks from the CAS Council President, Aldrin John Tagayun.
The CAS Council extends their gratitude to Prof. Natalia Nizel
Briñas, to their adviser, Dr. John Cliford Alvero; to the sponsors of the
event, CAS Faculty and Ms. Carol Segubience; to Ms. Maricar Gonzales
and to the catering service, Kusina De Bahay.
Closing the year might not be easy, but through a celebration of
coming home together and making it memorable will lead everyone to
see another year and adventure full of surprises. And just as how the
party had pulled off its curtains gracefully, so is the big and exciting
journey that the learners of CAS should await as how these curtains
widely open next year.
