Nanofiltration

It is a membrane filtration based method that uses nanometer sized

through pores that pass through the membrane. It is also known as a
fine filtration method.

Membrane Filtration
It is a method of separating particles in liquid solutions or gas
mixtures. The semi permeable membrane acts as a barrier which
retains larger particles, while allowing smaller particles to pass
through the membrane. The pressure difference on both sides of the
membrane will cause the permeate to cross the membrane.

Types of membrane filtration

The four main methods of membrane filtration are
Microfiltration, Ultrafiltration, Nanofiltration, Reverse Osmosis in
decreasing order of pore size.
