Requirements:

1. Your presentation should be 8-10 minutes long.

2. You need to speak freely; you are not allowed to read prepared sentences.

3. Your English should be comprehensible, but does not have to be perfect.

4. You should use cue cards. No complete sentences (quotes from the book are

allowed).

5. No more than 50 words in total on the cue cards (quotes do not count).

6. Your visual aid should contain only a few words. It should help you to present the

book and the movie more clearly.

7. You have to make a comparison between the book and the movie version.

Make sure that you present evidence of differences or similarities between the two.

8. You both need to have fully read and understood the book as well as the movie so

that you can answer questions from your teacher.

Contents and Your Visual Aid:

Should contain the following information on 6 different slides

Slide 1: Information about the book: author, date of publication, genre.


Information about the movie: producer, date of release, actors.

Slide 2: Summary/ plot triangle of the book: tell briefly something about the story,
but do not give away too much!

Slide 3: Main character(s) description. Find a description in the book of the main
character(s) and compare this to the character(s) in the movie version.
Use images to explain why you think these changes were made and what
impact this might have had.

Slide 4: Comparison between the book and the movie. You can compare for instance
the setting, plot, main focus etc.. For this part it is important to provide evidence
for your opinions. Use a quotation from the book and/or describe a scene from the
movie to prove your point.

Slide 5: Draw a conclusion and give your opinion on the book as well as the movie (include
a rating for both)
Slide 6: Reflect on your collaboration. How did you work together, elaborate on
improvements and learning points for the future?
