The Culture Of The Mexican Culture In Mexico
Tacos, chile, horchata, piñatas and cartels is what people think when they hear the word
Mexican and that is exactly what it is. Not only is Mexico our neighbor, but is known
for its cheap goods and great food, as a Mexican I am proud of that. It may be one of the
most dangerous places to go to because of the drug war, but the Mexican culture is just
wonderful, colorful, and full of life. How lucky am I to live so close to a place, Olvera
street, that represents my culture the way it does. This historical district is not the only
one, there are many more that preserve and represent different cultures here in the city of
angels.
According to Wikipedia, Olvera street was the heart of Los Angeles since it was first
settled by Spanish settlers in 1781, then it was taken over in 1821 by Mexicans. During
the Mexican rule the plaza remained the center of Los Angeles; so, to preserve the
history it became a Mexican style market.
It was a typical beautiful sunny day in California, bright blue sky with a couple of
white cotton candy clouds. Over where I stood was a tall tree with dark green leaves
protected by a short black fence on top of red bricks. On my left the taco stand, Cielito
Lindo, was painted a patchy yellow color and half red; on top of the stand there was a
white sign bordered blue that read Cielito Lindo . According to their website this world
famous food stand first opened in 1934; ever since Olvera Street has been known to have

Imagery In Nadja
Nadja by Andre Breton writes about his revelation in exploration if his identity and
experiences in Paris. Specifically, he focuses on what he values about the city, the artists,
writers and the woman who he briefly had a relationship with, Nadja. Breton introduces
the book with a question to himself, who am I? Considering this, he continues to
highlight the theme of haunting and ghostliness in relations with identity. Even though
the title of the book is Nadja, Breton focuses more on the ghostly identity of the city.
Therefore this essay will argue how Andre Breton uses ghostly imagery of the city, to
illustrate the pastself and presentself; in the hopes that he discovers the purpose of his
existence. Andre Breton is interested Paris because it drives him to question how the city
influences identity; through ghostliness and hauntological theme of the city that is
highlighted in Nadja. Moreover Breton highlights the... Show more content on

What does the uncanny mean to Breton? In relations to how unfamiliar aspects of the
city becomes uncomfortably familiar, Breton expresses that, I am doomed to retrace my
steps under the illusion that I am exploring, doomed to try and learn what I should
simply recognize, learning a mere fraction of what I have forgotten (Breton, 12). A
suggestion of something that you should identify within yourself or in the city has been
forgotten but, the sense of repetition and familiarity becomes noticed which starts to
frighten you. Furthermore Breton highlights the notion of when you are trying to find
your way in the city, exploring something new only to find yourself at the same place that
you have started. This implies that identity is constructed with a unique repetition which
each individual encounters therefore shapes the
Formal And Informal Education In Saudi Aramco
Education systems comprise of three main parts, formal, nonformal, and informal
education. To understand why informal education is getting more and more relevant
today, one must first be clear as to what the definitions of each is. The problematics of
formal education are giving way to non formal/informal educationso a distinction must be
made first and foremost. I will then go on to discuss the example of Saudi Aramco and
how it integrated education as a prerequisite for its employees and even non
employees. I chose this topic because, first and foremost, my father has been and still
is an employee at Saudi Aramco for the past 33 years, but also because the particular
company has not left a stone untouched when it comes to encouraging self development
. This is a word I used to see all the time growing up in Saudi Aramco, where I was born.
I never really knew how important this term was until I came to AUB. Also, my father
spent the first 10+ years at Aramco teaching employees everything from Chemistry to
Math and English and even how to type! But first, definitions:
Formal education, the most common and obvious type of education, ...corresponds to a
systematic, organized education model, structured and administered according to a given
set of laws and norms, presenting a rather rigid curriculum as regards objectives, content
and methodology. (Zaki Dib 1987:1) It requires students to physically attend classes a
minimum number of times and is administered with a rigid

It has to look into the kind of market presence by defining strategy for each of the

sectors of society that route into emerging markets. Strategies formulated must

Markets are growing and the demographic and economic statuses are also growing
complicatedly; continuing population growth is a reality while sustained development
is taking place to improve quality of life and income levels, hence consumer products
are also developed to be affordable to a larger population. Western developed economies
are considered to offer growth opportunities; countries like Brazil, Russia, India and
China are becoming strong countries where opportunities for growth are emerging. It is
vital to search on countries where market presences are potentially high. The markets like
the US and the UK are examples of markets where quality of infrastructures is important
element of the strategy decision. The power of the local brand competition should not be
