Writing an essay on the topic "Death of a Salesman" can be a challenging endeavor. Arthur Miller's
iconic play delves into complex themes such as the American Dream, familial relationships, and the
human cost of relentless pursuit of success. Tackling these intricate subjects requires a deep
understanding of the play's characters, plot, and underlying messages.
To begin with, crafting a compelling introduction that captures the essence of the play and sets the
tone for the essay is crucial. Exploring the characters of Willy Loman, Biff, and Linda demands a
nuanced analysis, as their dynamics form the heart of the narrative. Interpreting Willy's tragic flaw
and the impact of his delusions on the family requires careful consideration and thoughtful insights.
Furthermore, addressing the symbolism embedded in the play, such as the American Dream
represented by Willy's aspirations, the symbolism of the flute, and the recurring motifs, adds an
additional layer of complexity. Analyzing Miller's use of language, dramatic techniques, and the
play's structure contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the work.
However, the real challenge lies in synthesizing these components into a coherent and well-
structured essay. Balancing critical analysis with personal interpretation, and seamlessly incorporating
textual evidence to support arguments, requires a high level of writing proficiency. Moreover,
developing a strong thesis statement that encapsulates the essay's main argument and aligning each
paragraph to contribute to its development is a task that demands careful planning and execution.

Obscenity In The Workplace
Using an obscenity in any sense shows a lot about a person s character. I feel in any
situation if a person is deciding to let those words slip from their lips they lose their
right to decide if anyone knows about it. The three given examples involve three
different types of people, two public and one private. All muttered the word asshole. I
feel no matter their title the word should stay in the quote. It is ultimately up to the
journalist s discretion if the quote is necessary to use, but if it is, the obscenities should
be left in. When the private figure, Deborah Woodell, used the word to express how
angry she was, a reader can feel the emotions in her tone. The same thing goes for both
George Bush and Larry Brown. Though Bush was unaware... Show more content on

If they felt it showed exactly how the person was feeling, it is okay to keep the
obscenity in the quote. However, if the word does nothing for the quote and story and
the person just has a potty mouth, it is unacceptable and needs to be removed. If the
word shows emotion, it is okay to keep in my book. If for some reason I were going to
decide to make a list of rules when dealing with situations like this I would decide that
stronger curse words be covered up by number signs (#). Words like asshole seem to
be on the weaker end of the curse word spectrum so that word could be spelled out.
Other words would be dashed out such as the word bitch. Again, the word would only
appear in the quote if the journalist felt it added to the story. If it were to appear the
word would look like this, B##ch.You can still see what the word was supposed to be,
but it doesn t jump out of the page as much because it is spelled wrong. Overall, I think
that curse words show emotion. I don t think it is the right way to show how you feel,
but when they are used in a situation it shows the character of the person saying them.
The public has the right to know the true self of anyone being quoted in a news paper.
Advice for people knowing they are in a public place or being interviewed, just don t
curse. If you are going to, do it in your home, in
The Importance Of The Conformity Of Uniforms
I researched how the conformity of uniforms in schools have violated a number of
First Amendment rights. The First Amendment of the United States was ratified, on
December 15, 1791. It promises protection for all to express their individual freedoms
of religion, speech, press, the right of assembly, and the right of petition. These terms
back in 1791 were not distinguished. Even now in the 21st Century the words remain
subjective to ongoing interpretation and debate. The placement of uniforms in
schools can discriminate against gender equality, as well as one s sexual orientation,
political views, and religion. The First Amendment was put in place to grant these
individual freedoms, yet students are expected to conform to school policies
regardless of their own beliefs. An example of this violation would be Tinker v. Des
Moines. In this court case students from a school in Des Moines, Iowa were
threatened with suspension if they went through with a plan to silently protest the war
in Vietnam. The students involved were denied their right to peacefully assemble. It
is stated in the First Amendment that Congress shall make no law respecting an
establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the
freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble,
and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. The children who were
suspended for proceeding with the plan of peaceful protest sued the school district
through their parents for a violation of their First Amendment rights. In the District
Court the judge ruled in favor of the school district, claiming the school s actions were
fair to maintain school discipline. Their ruling, however was reversed in the Supreme
Court when it was asked if the prohibition of a form of symbolic protest, violated the
students freedom of speech guaranteed by the First Amendment? I will be using this
court case to address current issues that also violate or at least put a restriction on a
student s First Amendment rights in schools. The definition of conformity is the
compliance or acquiescence of obedience. Conformity is encouraged with a high level of
visual similarity among members of
