Duration of task 30 minutes.

Sunday 12-Jun-2022
The first task of the day was to install a landline for an instructor in the
Start Time 07 : 30 AM engineering building. Took a new landline, unboxed it kept it on my table to
update software settings before installing for the instructor. I connected the
ethernet cable from the port and the other one from the computer. The
landline turned on and was initializing. Once the initializing step was complete
it showed the updating software message. Once it finished I unplugged
everything packed it and took to the instructor’s office. In the instructor’s
office removed the older landline he had unplugged the ethernet from the
port and the PC. Removed and kept it aside. Took the new landline out and
connected it to the network cable, from the PC as well and attached the
receiver. The landline turned on and was loading. It went to the main screen
End Time 03 : 30 PM showing the message updating DHCP setting, then showed updating software
once it finished it restarted again. The same process repeated and it restarted
again. This happened for the 3 times. There seemed to be a fault so I brought
back the landline to IT support and connected it here to set it up. Once the
software update was complete the login screen showed up. the software
update was not completed and I unplugged the cables due to which the
landline restarted again and again. Took the landline back and installed it, it
turned on and the login screen was visible. The instructor logged in and was
able to make and receive calls.
Duration of task 1 hour.

The next task received was to image an all in one computer with STUDENT
PC. Removed the all in one computer from the box and kept it on the desk.
Connected all cables to it, power cable, ethernet, keyboard and mouse. Once
everything was connected, turned the computer on. I pressed F12 continously
it showed up the network Boot Menu and I clicked on the IPv4
NetworkEthernet connection. After selecting the option Files were being
loaded and took me to the next screen which was Task Sequence Wizard. It
asked for a password(setup by staff). After adding the correct password types
of imaging were shown on the screen. I selected the Student PC imaging and
clicked next. The next step showed resolving Task Sequence Dependencies.
after that the Installation progress started. After the installation process was
complete, the system restarted. The system took atleast 1 hour to setup
everything. Once the imaging was done logged in to make sure it is on
student domain. Logged out and kept it aside.

Got the mac address of the computer.

Duration of task 3 hours.

The next task was to image 4 all in one computer with 3 staff image and 1
student image. Removed the all in one computer from the box and kept it on
the desk. Connected all cables to it, power cable, ethernet, keyboard and
mouse. Once everything was connected, turned the computer on. I pressed
F12 continously it showed up the network Boot Menu and I clicked on the
IPv4 NetworkEthernet connection. After selecting the option Files were being
loaded and took me to the next screen which was Task Sequence Wizard. It
asked for a password(setup by staff). After adding the correct password types
of imaging were shown on the screen. I selected the Student PC imaging and
clicked next. The next step showed resolving Task Sequence Dependencies.

After the restart the system restarted and the imaging process was
completed.
Repeated the same process for the other all in one computers that needed to
be imaged.

The next task was to install a docking station in the deans office. Before taking
the thinkpad docking station I connected the charger, the laptop and the
monitor to it for testing. Turned the docking staion on, the laptop and the
monitor. Once they were turned on the monitor had the display visible on the
laptop. It was working fine. Docking staion is used to connect laptops and
computers at the same time, the laptop connected is the main one and the
other monitors and computers are external ones. Took the docking station to
the deans office and installed it. connected the c port, ethernet cable,
charger, 2 display port as there were two monitors, keyboard and mouse.
Everything was connected to the docking station and turned it on. the laptop
was the main display the 2 monitors were external.

Connected the laptop and monitor through the docking station.

Connected all the cables to the docking station.
Duration of task 3 hours.

The next task was to image 4 all in one computers. Removed the all in one
computer from the box and kept it on the desk. Connected all cables to it,
power cable, ethernet, keyboard and mouse. Once everything was connected,
turned the computer on. I pressed F12 continously it showed up the network
Boot Menu and I clicked on the IPv4 NetworkEthernet connection. After
selecting the option Files were being loaded and took me to the next screen
which was Task Sequence Wizard. It asked for a password(setup by staff).

The next task was to rename an imaged PC. For the other all in one repeated
the same imaging process but it did not ask for computer rename so I did that
manually once the installation process was complete. The computer restarted
I logged in. after the loggin I searched pc rename and it took me to the
rename settings page. Entered the name for the PC and clicked ok and the pc
restarted.

Monday 13-Jun-2022
The first task of the day was change workgroups of 6 all in one computers.
Took 6 all in one computers and kept them on the table. Connected the
Start Time 07 : 30 AM power cable, ethernet, mouse and keyboard to them. turned the computers
on and IT staff logged into the computers with his id and password. Once
logged in searched for computer management and clicked on it. local user
and group, right click on local user and create new user. Give the username
and password. Below there will be options select password never expires and
End Time 03 : 30 PM do no change password on next login. Click on and close it. then right click on
MY PC and select properties - advanced system settings - computer name -
select the member of and click on workgroup and type workgroup. And click
ok. The system will restart and your setting will be saved. After the restart I
logged in computer with the new username and password.
In MY PC setting click on the right hand side option advanced system setting.

Once in the advanced system setting click on the computer name.

Once clicked on computer name click on member of and change it to
workgroup, and type workgroup. Click ok.

The system will restart and the settings will be changed.

Logged in with the new username and password.

Repeated the same process for the rest 5 all in one computers.

The next task was to image 2 all in one computers with student PC image.
Removed the all in one computer from the box and kept it on the desk.

The next task was install a landline in an office. Took the landline and cleaned
it up and tested it. connected the ethernet cable and it turned on. it asked for
login (the landline was working fine). Unplugged the cables and took it to the
facilities building. The requester already had a landline in her office but it was
not connected. The problem was that the landline was not on the voice VLAN
due to which no one could login into the landline. set up the landline on the
vlan, unplugged the cables plugged it back again. The landline turned on,
updated and asked for login username and password. Entered the username
password and the user was able to login. Test call was made.
Duration of task 1 hour 30 minutes.
The next task was to scan documents in the registration office. Files were
needed to be scanned in the registration office. I was there to help along with
an IT technician. The first task to do was setting up the computer for myself.
Kept the all in one computer on the desk and connected the power, ethernet
cable, mouse and keyboard. Once all the cables were connected I turned it
on. but there was no internet connection as the cables were not patched. So I
went to the rack took 1 new 1 meter ethernet cable noted the switch number
and patched the cable. After doing that my computer had a successful
internet connection. I logged in and installed the driver for scanner. Searched
the driver on google found it and installed it. connected the scanner to the
computer and turned it on. launched the application and it was ready to scan.

Launched the scanner application once drivers were installed.
 Installed Adobe.

Tuesday 14-Jun-2022
The first task of the day was to inspect lab 12.2.19. Got acess from the
security and entered the lab. Once inside the lab I turned the instrutor

machine and logged in. after the login I waited for few minutes for LAN
SCHOOL to show and launched it. Once LAN school was launched I waited for
End Time 03 : 30 PM all the computer to be connected to it. then I pressed ctrl+A and selected all
computers and pressed on blank screen. This blanks the screen and it freezes.
Checked all computers and they were all blanked. One computer did not
blank went and took a look the tower was turned off, turned it on but it still
did not blank the screen. i logged in and checked for the channel and it was
on 1 and it was not accessible through LAN school. I noted down the
computer name. Rest all the screens were blank. Pressed blank screens again
and the computers were not blank anymore. I then selected all the student
PC's again and clicked on control. I had to check lockdown browser for all.
Logged in all the student PC's and launched lockdown browser it was
successful all of them had lockdown browser in them. clicked on ctrl+alt+
delete and signed out of the PC's. They are all connected to the internet and
accessible through the instructor PC. I closed the application and logged out
of the PC.
Blanked all screens and there was no issue with it.

Took lunch break from 12:00pm - 12:30pm

The next task was to scan documents in the registration office. Went to the
registration office and began scanning documents.

The last task of the day was to organize files that needed to be scanned. Got
training on how to organize the files in which order which document is to be
kept. the documents were kept in the decending order of the dates. Once the
training was over, I was asked to organize a file and show. I arranged the
documents according to the order and once done I marked in the checklist
what documents were there.

Wednesday 15-Jun-2022
The first task of the day was to inspect lab 10.2.02. Got acess from the
security and entered the lab. Once inside the lab I turned the instrutor

on youtube played a random video to check the audio of the projector.
Printed the supplies status page from the printer. Once LAN school was
launched I waited for all the computer to be connected to it. then I pressed
ctrl+A and selected all computers and pressed on blank screen. This blanks
the screen and it freezes. Checked all computers and they were all blanked.
One computer did not blank went and took a look the tower was turned off,
turned it on and the screen blanked. Pressed blank screen again and the
computers were not blank anymore. I then selected all the student PC's again
and clicked on control. I had to check lockdown browser for all. Logged in all
the student PC's and launched lockdown browser it was successful all of them
had lockdown browser in them. clicked on ctrl+alt+ delete and signed out of
the PC's. They are all connected to the internet and accessible through the
instructor PC. I closed the application and logged out of the PC.

being connected through LAN school. And 2 PC did not have an internet
connection in them noted the port number and computer name. This blanks
the screen and it freezes. Checked all computers and they were all blanked.

turned it on and the screen blanked. Pressed blank screen again and the
computers were not blank anymore. I then selected all the student PC's again
and clicked on control. I had to check lockdown browser for all. Logged in all
the student PC's and launched lockdown browser it was successful all of them

the PC's. They are all connected to the internet and accessible through the
instructor PC. I closed the application and logged out of the PC.

The next task was to scan documents. Went to the registration office
informed anyone around that I was here for the scanning. Scanned only two
documents as the files were not arranged. Once done kept them in their place
and noted down their information.

The next task was to clean the office. Organized and kept computers, towers,
printers, organized the store. Kept things in one place that needed to be given
away. The facilities took away all the things not needed. And the damaged
one were discarded.

Thursday 16-Jun-2022
The first task was lab inspection. Inspected lab 12.1.18. went to the lab
turned the projector on and logged in the instructors machine. Once logged in
Start Time 07 : 30 AM waited for few minutes and launched Lan school. From LAN school I waited
for all the PC to show up. Once the student computers showed up I pressed
CTRL+A and selected all student computers and clicked the option blank
screen. Waited few minutes for all the machines to blank. Checked all student
PC manually all of them were able to blank their screens no issues. I
unblanked the screens and selected all PC again and clicked on control. I
wanted to confirm if all student computers can be controlled through LAN
school without any issues. One PC was not controlled through lan school went
and checked, the PC was very slow in taking commands. Then I searched for
lockdown browser and opened it in the instructors machine and it opened in
all student PC's. logged off and signed out.

Duration of task 30 minutes.
The second task was lab inspection. Inspected lab 12.1.19. went to the lab
turned the projector on and logged in the instructors machine. Once logged in
waited for few minutes and launched Lan school. From LAN school I waited
for all the PC to show up. Once the student computers showed up I pressed
CTRL+A and selected all student computers and clicked the option blank
screen. Waited few minutes for all the machines to blank. Checked all student
PC manually all of them were able to blank their screens no issues except one
student PC that did not turn on. I removed the power cable from both tower
and monitor plugged it back it and turned the tower on but still there was no
display. Then I checked the VGA cable connected to the tower, the cable was
very loose and not plugged in place. I plugged it in and there was display and
it turned on. I unblanked the screens and selected all PC again and clicked on
control. I wanted to confirm if all student computers can be controlled
through LAN school without any issues. I was able to login in and control
them. Then I searched for lockdown browser and opened it in the instructors
machine and it opened in all student PC's. logged off and signed out.
Printed the supplies status page. The printer was working fine.

Checked the audio of the projector. Played a video on youtube.

The next ticket I received was about a CD drive not working. I got a test CD
and before going to the requester office I went to lab 10.2.14 and removed a
CD drive from the tower. It was the 8300 tower. Before turning it off I logged
in the computer and tested the CD I got. Put in the CD and the system read
the CD. I could see the contents of it. I signed out and took the CD turned it
off and unplugged the power cable. Once everything was off I opened the
tower case and removed the cables connected to the CD drive. After that I
lifted the green locks and removed the front case of the tower, unlocked the
CD drive and removed it from its place. I placed back the front case and
closed the main case. Kept it in place and turned it on. Took the CD drive to
the facilities office and inspected the issue with the requesters CD drive. I put
in the test CD and the computer was reading it. I was able to access the
contents inside the CD. Tested a CD that they had but it was not supported.
The issue was not with the CD drive, but that they did not have an application
installed that read the CD contents. Reported the issue to an IT technician and
it was resolved.

The next task was to put back the scanner I had taken from an office for
scanning in the registration office. Went to the office unplugged all cables
from the scanner and took it to the office. Kept it in its place and plugged in
all the cables. once the cables were connected turned it on it was working
fine.
